Dear Stella is new fabric brand. Their Quilt Market Fall 2011 launch showcased 8 new collections. The booth presentation was modern, understated and fabulous. That big ribbon on the right is their Best New Exhibitor prize!

I’m enjoying the mix of modern, contemporary designs with a soft, fresh color palette.

The quilts and projects on display did an excellent job of showing the fabric in action.

The 14 Stella Dots are a ‘basic’. The colors coordinate to the collections but seem to be matching every stack we throw them into. Very fun!

Especially effective was showing different collections made up in the same project. The cathedral window pillows were beautiful. I loved that they paired contemporary fabrics with a traditional quilt pattern too. Fresh and modern.
Many of the projects shown in the above photos are available on the Dear Stella website. The Elephant was featured several weeks ago in our Saturday ChalkTalk newsletter, we received quite a few e-mails reporting difficulty in downloading the pattern. E-mail us at customerservice@pinkchalkfabrics.com if you experience problems and we’ll e-mail the PDF to you.

Two FQ sets are up for giveaway this week. A full collection set of Dear Stella Anchor’s Away (a little quilt market booty) and our custom Dear Stella Palladium FQ set.

Agree with you about the fresh new colors! Love their lines and look forward to seeing more! I’m hoping to work in some handmade gifts this weekend — maybe the bedside book holder from 101 one-yard wonders for my grandmother and a stuffed animal for a friend’s new baby girl. Happy Thanksgiving!
I’ll probably work on some Christmas gifts this weekend. I want to make an apron for one of my friends and I found the perfect pattern! Now I need to find the perfect fabric…and there’s lots of choice!
Wonderful photos of pretty fabric lines! Thank you for the giveaway.
I don’t know if I’m going to make anything (maybe finish Little Wallet now that I have the pearl button snaps). I’ve been practicing my hand piecing to finish some blocks from my grandma. Love the Palladium collection – I’ve been collecting grays now that they are popular.
Carol, check back on Monday for some great Little Wallet inspiration!
The anchors away fabric looks fun. A cruise is in my future. That would be perfect. Thanks for the giveaway.
I have so many projects on the go that need to be finished. Plus have several floating around in my head.

I’m a middle aged (read old) woman, new to quilting, but have done garment sewing and needlework all of my life. I’ve discoved that along with the more traditional fabric & quilt designs, I’m also just LOVING the more modern quilt designs & fabrics that are becoming more popular now. I think I’m just a fabric junkie!
Love the new Dear Stella line & can’t wait to try something with it.
I love the Dear Stella Line. I have truly been attracted to greys the past two years. I needed some inspiration for a new quilt for my daughter’s room. Thank you for the help!!!

Lovely fabrics, thanks for a great giveaway. I’m probably going to be doing some knitting this weekend. Hats and mittens for the grandkids for Christmas. Both are very easy to make.
Love this new Dear Stella Line! There are simply not enough hours in a day to sew all the fabulous fabrics available…so many projects so little time. In the meantime, we collect beautiful fabrics.
Really love the Dear Stella line, especially all the ikat prints! I’m (hopefully) finishing up a baby quilt and making some headway on another WIP this weekend!
I love the bright Dear Stella colorway! I’m crazy about dots too, and those stuffed elephants are adorable!
Everything in the Dear Stella booth looks so nice. I’ll be checking out their website later. This weekend I will be madly sewing Christmas gifts, trying to stay on my schedule so that I can finish everything. Thanks for the giveaway.
Great fabrics! I love the elephant!
Too many things to do, a loveseat cushion for my kids, bunny slippers, bags, bags, bags for Christmas giving. I love making bags for gifts, because you can fill the bag with candy, a book, a DVD, and even a little bottle of wine! A fun present.
Also my Lab/Border Collie is Stella so I know she’d like a fabric collection in her name!
Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving,

These fabrics are really gorgeous. The blue and white zig-zag quilt is so calming to look at, it’s inspiring me to make a new quilt in those colours, and quite very possibly in the Dear Stella fabrics I think
What a great collection and I love how Dear Stella shows off their ranges in projects that they have created. That elephant is just too cute
I will be making a load of little gifties this weekend. A load of friends and family have their birthdays during November, so I am catching up with some of those and then getting started on my Christmas sewing as well. The tuts competition is coming in vry handy indeed.

Love both bundles but especially the gray. This weekend will be a quilting extravaganza–many tops lined up for finishing.
I have one fat quarter of gray in my stash. I was just thinking how I need to add some. I think most of the other colors are pretty well accounted for. This weekend I will be working on BH’s mystery quilt and quilts I am making for Xmas presents.
