Dear Stella is new fabric brand. Their Quilt Market Fall 2011 launch showcased 8 new collections. The booth presentation was modern, understated and fabulous. That big ribbon on the right is their Best New Exhibitor prize!

I’m enjoying the mix of modern, contemporary designs with a soft, fresh color palette.

The quilts and projects on display did an excellent job of showing the fabric in action.

The 14 Stella Dots are a ‘basic’. The colors coordinate to the collections but seem to be matching every stack we throw them into. Very fun!

Especially effective was showing different collections made up in the same project. The cathedral window pillows were beautiful. I loved that they paired contemporary fabrics with a traditional quilt pattern too. Fresh and modern.
Many of the projects shown in the above photos are available on the Dear Stella website. The Elephant was featured several weeks ago in our Saturday ChalkTalk newsletter, we received quite a few e-mails reporting difficulty in downloading the pattern. E-mail us at customerservice@pinkchalkfabrics.com if you experience problems and we’ll e-mail the PDF to you.

Two FQ sets are up for giveaway this week. A full collection set of Dear Stella Anchor’s Away (a little quilt market booty) and our custom Dear Stella Palladium FQ set.

I love both of those collections, but I’m particularly fond of the boy fabric. I have tons of girly fabrics, but no boy fabric, and I have 2 boys! Go figure! Thanks for the giveaway!
I knew I had been out of the loop with other issues in my life right now but after reading the newsletter and seeing the pictures, I realized that I hadn’t looked at the first picture from Quilt Market. I hope I can find some still hanging around to see. I love what I saw here. Thanks for the chance to win this beautiful bounty of fabric. I’ll take either, not picky at all! Have a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving.
I am just letting you know that I read my newsletter, look forward to receiving it.
Nice. I see endless ideas for this fabric.

Gorgeous! Love that Cathedral Window and I am adding it to my ‘must do’ list, lol.

I think that fabric is so pretty and I love the name because it was my grandmother’s name.
I am just going to work on a little applique this weekend.
You have my attention now..that Stella nautical themed fabric has caught this little fishy. Love your blog it is always on the pulse!
Love these fabrics and would love to win!
So pretty! Would love to add this to my growing stash!
YALL ALWAYS HAVE SUCH GREAT FABRIC COLECTIONS AND SUCH AMAZING PHOTOS OF QUILTS AND OTHER ITEMS. I LOVE FABRIC PERIOD!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!
I would love to win these fabrics! I am making Thanksgiving dinner this weekend, then back to the craft room next week!
Love the fabric…!
I’m loving all I’m seeing of the Dear Stella fabrics! This weekend I’ve mostly nursed a cold. Good thing we in Canada already had our Thanksgiving celebration because I just couldn’t have swung a decent family gathering this weekend. I sewed yoyos, watched movies, and ate chicken soup instead.
I would love to win some fabric for my group, World of Charity Stitching, where we make lap quilts for children and senior citizens.
Thanks,
Peggy

Trolling the internet for quilt market photos and lo and behold, I see my cathedral window pillows commissioned by the fabric designer. Let me tell you, I was ecstatic to get a sneak peak at these beautiful fabrics from Dear Stella. I was giddy from the moment they arrived.
I had no idea they were going to Quilt Market.
