Little Apples is Aneela Hoey’s second collection for Moda Fabrics. A vibrant color palette combined with sweet images of children at play in autumn. This is a picture I took at Spring Quilt market where Aneela displayed her embroidery work along with projects made up with Little Apples. Quilt pattern available for free from Moda.

I LOVE patchwork mixed with embroidery. The turquoise squares really make the little girl’s headband pop. And boy do I wish I knew how to do that stitch on the coat, FABULOUS!

We have Little Apples yardage, fat quarter sets, a coordinating solids fat quarter set and a quilt kit available.

More quilty inspiration.

This week’s giveaway is for a 9 piece Little Apples FQ set (we’ll give away one of each set in the shop).
I Googled Little Apples to see if I could locate a pattern for that second quilt (no luck). What I did find was some awesome links to all kinds of Little Apples goodness:
Aneela Hoey’s Blog – she has so many amazing projects made up – including a Pink Chalk Studio Pencil Roll (too fun to discover that!)
The Dallas Modern Quilt Guild hosted a Little Apples challenge, see the results on Jenny Garland’s Blog.
Apple Crate free quilt pattern available in the Moda Bake Shop.
Enjoy!

Question for the comments:
I consider myself a sewist that likes to quilt, stitch up small accessory projects and ventures into garments every now and then. What do you sew?

How Fat Quarter Tuesday works:
- Every Tuesday two items from the Pink Chalk Fabrics online store will be featured and given away the following week in a random drawing.
- The first winner is selected from those who opened their Pink Chalk Fabrics e-mail newsletter during the week.
- The second winner is selected from all comments left on the blog for the week (comments from all posts, not just the giveaway post).
You can sign up for the Pink Chalk Fabrics Newsletter here.

I’m just starting to sew and a boatload of quilts is my goal. But who knows what else I’ll try if I really get the bug?!
I call myself a quilter, but I get distracted by bags, soft toys, cushions, all manner of blog swaps and the occasional urge to crochet. There really isn’t enough time to do all I’d like and it certainly isn’t helped by the year skipping months (that’s what has happened isn’t it?)
I am piecing a quilt top, just made a gathered clutch, a snips and threads pincushion holder and a mini bow tuck bag. Love the “Little Apples” fabric.
Love the vibrant colours !!!
So cute ~ just love these!
I started quilting 3 years ago. Reason to start a new quilt is usually a landmark birthday or holiday in the family – so the quilts get new homes most of the time. Get too many inspirations reading patchwork blogs – impossible to make everything, though I would love to
Aneela Hoey has lovely fabrics, tell lovely stories.

I love the turquoise and red combo, it’s one of my favorites! I sew very much like I knit, paint, and bake . . . with love, and with a lot of humility and perpetual room for improvement. Garments here and there, accessories probably more than anything, and currently working toward finishing my first quilts ever!
I’m an all around sewist … a sewist of all trades. Seamstress by day … quilter by night. And the random repair or new hem. (If I had a nickel for every jean hem I’ve ever done …) Love your blog! Thanks for the give away!
Quilts of every shape and description have captured my imagination and heart for the last 4 or 5 years. From the smallest mini to the largest king sized I am hooked on this medium. There is however, a frustrating gap and I have discovered that my production is restricted by limitations in skills. I am endevouring to develop these necessary skills to be able to meet the visions in my head.
I have sewn a couple of baby quilts. I would like to finish a larger quilt that’s in the works, then build some jammies for my lanky 4yr old.
thanks for the giveaway – love the apples patterns!
I’m definitely a quilter who’s trying to branch out into other things. So far, I haven’t been too successful with clothes but I’m pretty happy with the bags!
I love Aneela Hoey’s new line! The colors are so pretty.
Love, love, love thus fabric!! Currently, I’m sewing anything that I think my granddaughters will enjoy, and this fabric will definitely be in my to-do list. So cute!
I love sewing things for my baby (bibs, high chair cover etc), bags and other things for our home
I love moda fabrics, and quilting
I would love to make a baby quilt with this fabric
