A fabulous shot of the Blue Underground Studios booth at Spring Quilt Market 2011. A spectacular display of color and pattern.

Founded in 2005 as a partnership between Amy Walsh and Janine Burke, Blue Underground Studios’ mission is to publish quilt patterns that are clear and innovative allowing all quilters, no matter their skill level, to make fantastic looking quilts.

Each pattern includes tips for efficient cutting, sewing and finishing of the quilt. The designs incorporate a large number of fabrics. The supply list for many of the patterns calls for a specific number of Fat Quarters or strips measuring anywhere from 4 1/2″ to 8″. Excellent for stash busting!

Our very own Cindy made a blue version of the Green Glass Door pattern using a variety of Kona Cotton scraps for the strips. I LOVE how she threw in a few greens.

and 3 more representing all 7 of Blue Underground Studios’ new patterns for 2011:

A HUGE thanks to Amy and Janine for donating ALL SEVEN of their 2011 pattern titles for giveaway today.
