So light and airy! One question: how does she keep that ironing board looking so clean?????
She makes wonderful fabrics, btw.
looks great! and so peacfull!
Just wondering – how does your ironing board cover stay so white?!
~Mary
Thoughly enjoy reading your blog! Perhaps I will enter my sewing room!
On the ironing board cover: I had just made a new one when the pic was taken. It’s not white now! Due to be replaced soon for sure!
What a nice fresh and airy sewing studio – love it!!
So many different sewin rooms and all special in their own way. Little distraction here, which I think is great!
This series is so much fun! It is giving me serious sewing room envy
I have a great room, but it is nowhere near as pretty as these!
tell me once again, how long does a sewing studio stay picture perfect? ha! they are all so inspiring and exciting too! keep ‘em coming!
I am learning so much about sewing spaces from this series. I’ve discovered I really can use some inspiration boards in mine.
Thanks so much for featuring these spaces. It’s so inspiring – especially when you see they aren’t necessarily fancy or huge, but simple and charming.
Love this room. I need to make a new ironing board cover!
I love the twinkle lights around the windows. Everyone needs a few twinkle lights in their lives!
Love this room. It’s a serene place.
I’m so envious of all the wonderful sewing areas some readers have. We retired…downsized and I went from a nice big sewing room to a sewing closet. But just thankful that I have a closet…Love reading the Pink Chalk blog.
I love your fabrics….cant find them here….
fast shipping and nicely packaged.
thank you Terry!
I enjoy visiting your blog every day ,always something new.
I have so enjoyed seeing all the sewing areas that you have been posting.
I love the wall color. I’ve been thinking about what color to paint my walls.
Simple, clean studio – looks like a great place to work!
I MADE A CORNER OF MY BASEMENT INTO MY SEWING ROOM, PUT UP SOME LIGHTS & BOOKCASES (FOR MY FABRIC)(THEY ARE FULL OF COURSE), & HAVE 2 DESKS. IF I EVER BUILD A HOUSE IT WILL HAVE A ROOM JUST FOR SEWING BUILT IN.
what a refreshing room! Who wouldn’t love to craft in there?!
The light is gorgeous in the studio. Envious.
I’d like to try the tiny lights around the window in my space!
i really appreciate these posts on others’ workspaces. inspires me to clean mine up and actually do something to it to make it look nicer!
I have some Daisy Janie fabrics and they are wonderful.
What a beautiful work space! Makes me yearn for a sewing room of my own!!
I’m really enjoying all these posts. Love to see where people sew. Thanks a bunch!
It looks very fresh and clean, and I adore the white Christmas lights…
Cannot locate the Charm Pack for the Dogwood Trail Table Runner. Downloaded the feee pattern, but no charm pack. Can anyone help me? Kay
Hi Kay,
I don’t have the charm packs in the shop, we’re just carrying the kit that includes the charm pack and the other fabrics needed to make the tablerunner.

i love this “where i sew” series kathy! it’s brilliant on your end and so fun and inspiring to read and see all the different spaces. thanks!
ooh, I like being called brilliant! I have to say it took on a life of its own that has far exceeded any expectation I may have had. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the surprises and inspiration each person’s room has provided including all the amazing additions to the original post.
Quilters can quilt and sudoko both, aren’t we great!
Wish I had a sewing area that looked like hers. But then I wouldn’t want to do anything cos I’d mess it up.
Beautiful in so many ways! I’m looking forward to the Tilly collection this fall. And Kathy, I received my fabrics purchased from the summer sale this week, and I was just so delighted. Thank you!
Thanks to all who have shared their spaces! Wonderful inspiration
Look at all that pretty light coming in the window!
Love your answer about the ironing board cover—thanks for keeping it real. Reduces quilting inferiority complexes.
I can’t imagine a time when my sewing room looked so neat and orderly. I am attempting to work on it though! I have two choices…sew..or..organize. Hmmmm
Love looking at all these sewing rooms. Is giving me ideas for my own room.
II’m loving the walls here – painted bead board or something?
Hi Stephanie -
To create the stripe effect on the walls, I used paint a couple shades darker than the basecoat and added clear glaze to it (like Behr). This gives the paint transparency while maintaining the body. I held up an omnigrid ruler on the wall (3″w x 18″l), with a very small level taped to the side, and painted with a flat edge 1″ craft brush along the edge – but not quite touching. I just slid my ruler down to finish each stripe top to bottom. I determined ahead of time I could evenly space x-number of stripes on the wall, so I marked those out ahead of time. Once all the 1″ stripes were in place, I went back and free-handed a thin line parallel to each thick line (about 2″ away). Practice on a piece of posterboard taped to a wall to get a feel for it.
I love her walls too! It is so light and refreshing of a sewing place!
Very nice sewing space. So serene. Makes me want to go clean mine up! Thank you for the inspiration!
