What fun projects! I’m in need of a tack board and why not use some fun fabric?

I’ve been meaning to cover a tack board for so long – great timing! And I might just try a lined bookcase too :)

I received this book for Christmas last year and haven’t made a single thing out of it. I look forward to being inspired by your sew along!

I love this! It’s going to be fun to follow along. I’ve already done the cork board and my children loved it so much I had to do one for each of their rooms. Amy Butler’s new line is gorgeous!

Neat!! I love the idea of a sew along. I made the Obi Inspired Hot/Cold pack for 3 people this Christmas, and have another in the works for myself. I can’t wait to see what you do with my project (Newborn Flyaway Jacket), too!

The Newborn Flyaway Jacket is so cute. I have a new niece or nephew arriving this spring and I plan to make the jacket for a gift. If you have pictures of your Christmas gifts please share :-) .

Oh goody! I want to do both of these. The bookcase is going to have to wait though – need to repaint the bookcase and it is too cold to paint in the garage or shop this time of year. The message board and bookcase are both in the new pantry. I’m thinking some Moda Bliss since the walls are a pretty aqua.

I painted the bookcase on the kitchen table after putting down newspaper first. No need to wait. Just do it!

I received my first order yesterday–amazingly promptly–and it is wonderful. 2 Denyse Schmidt patterns, some of her new fabric and some sale fabric. My friends were envious!

What a great idea! I have made some projects out of this book, and I’m looking to doing more.
One of the problems I’m having with the book is that sometimes the instructions aren’t very clear, and without diagrams or photos of the process, it’s sometimes challenging to figure out what to do or why.

However, I can’t wait to see the bookcase – I’m thinking of doing that one too, and using the secret storage boxes from here http://www.designspongeonline.com/2010/09/diy-project-brennas-secret-storage-books.html to fill it with my crafty supplies.
