I love all my Omnigrid rulers, but they can be kind of awkward to store. I came up with this solution and it has worked SO well for me! I purchased this simple plastic mail sorter at Target for $5.99. It holds everything perfectly, from the smallest ruler (4″ x 8″) to the biggest (12.5″ x 12.5″).

This is the best idea I’ve seen in a long time. Thanks for the great tip. Another idea that might be even cheaper is that I often see these type of file organizers at my local Goodwill–might be even cheaper than Target!

I use something similar for not only my rulers, but to keep current patterns/books that go with the project I am working on – then they are at hand and can be tucked out of they way when clean up time.

I’ve used one of those mail holders for a few years now to store my rulers, I got it at work when someone was throwing it away and though “this would come in handy”.

The letter holder looks heavy enough so won’t tip over. Like this idea.

What a great idea! I have a similar mail sorter like this somewhere in my house, and I’ve been looking for it all week so I can do this. Must be in a box somewhere in the garage… Obviously, I’m not very good at sorting my mail!
