Indie Banditas Bazaar

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here in the states! It’s been a long day that began with the sounds of a broken water pipe. I think things like that happen just to remind us how nice neighbors and strangers can be. Filling lots of pots with water before the main was shut off made cooking the feast much easier than we thought it might be. Sort of like camping. And let me tell you, the wine with dinner never tasted so good! Tomorrow includes finding a plumber and washing a LOT of dirty dishes.

I plan to attend the annual Indie Banditas Bazaar too (I like to go early to get my hands on the best stuff!). It’s back at the Grange Hall, located just off Hwy 305 heading North on Madison Avenue. If you go be sure to stop in and say hi to Pink Chalk Fabrics gal Diana of Sea Gem Studio, she’ll be selling her gorgeous sea glass jewelry.

Enjoy the holiday weekend!

xo Kathy

Happy Thanksgiving to you too Kathy. My thoughts are with you during your time of broken water pipes. It sounds as if you have endured it. Love the flyer for the bazaar.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too Darlene! I was thinking the same thing about the poster. I’m in awe of people that can create that kind of art.

Sorry to hear that — you have a better attitude about it than I admit I would… although did you write this post before or after the wine??? ;) Enjoy the bazaar. Sounds like fun — wish I lived out your way!

So sorry about the pipes. Carrie had the same thing happen to her. Call your homeowners insurance co. That’s what we have insurance for. I was surprised at the help they gave us when one of our hose bids burst, flooding our powder bath.

Thanks for the plug in your blog post! Had a fun day today and can’t wait for tomorrow. There’s a ton of cool stuff to be had at the bazaar. Lots of Holiday gift buying going on!
    Hope to see you there!

I trust the Thanksgiving holiday was most enjoyable, aside from the crazy power outage and broken water pipe. There wasn’t a lot of water damage, was there? Having just experienced a flood almost three months ago, I wouldn’t wish water damage on any one. Most things are back together with the house, we just have to wait for the bamboo flooring to arrive so they can install it. I am getting pretty tired of living with concrete floors and not knowing where half our belongings are. It could be worse. I am most thankful for our loved one and our amazing neighbours. Wishing you a wonderful week!

Murphy’s Law – the pipes will break on a holiday. Or when you’re out of town. Or when you’re at work. Or when you have a box of detergent on the floor…
I’ve had broken water pipes, broken hot water heaters, broken washing machine hoses, and then the ultimate water, Katrina…
One time when my washing machine hose busted, I had a large cardboard package of detergent sitting on the floor. It was too big to put on the shelf or cabinet. Well, needless to say, I had suds all through my house. At least my carpets got clean! LOL!

I’ve always like sea glass; my sister collects alot of it, and I have a few pieces as well. That jewelry is lovely; especially the flower cluster necklace. I’d like to make a wind chime or window drops or something with it….maybe hubby could help with the drilling…:)
