Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Fundraiser

Jayme Christensen of Portraits for Pink is hosting an online fundraising auction. Proceeds go for Breast Cancer research through the AVON Walk for Breast Cancer. The auction started last night and runs through 11:59pm May 2nd. So go over to the website RIGHT NOW and see all the fabulous items up for bid. As Jayme told me “Come visit the site and find something you’d like, and together, let’s fight for life, and find a cure.” Thank you Jayme!

A sneak peek of Fandango by Kate Spain scheduled for an August release from Moda. These lovely Mail Sacks will be going to Spring Quilt Market. I sewed Saturday and Sunday and by last night I was so pooped out I couldn’t stitch another seam and that’s saying something for me. Looking forward to finishing them off this evening. Happy Monday!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your new collection Kate! I was ecstatic when the fabric arrived, so many wonderful colors and designs. I really enjoyed reading about your inspiration on your blog.

The samples will be in the Moda booth without me in Minneapolis (boo hoo).

The fabric is perfect, I’m in love with that mosaic print and had to try hard not to use it on everything!

I just finished the Mail Bag pattern, what an excellent pattern. Directions were very well written making construction of the bag a pleasure. I have been sewing for 50 years (even though I’m only 49, lol) and my daughter and I own a quilt shop in Michigan. We test patterns before we sell them in the shop and we will definitely re-order your pattern. Thank you.
ps. Will you be at Quilt Market in Minnesota?

I’ve had the pleasure (and honor) of working with these fabrics too! They are so pretty – your mail sacs will be fabulous :)

Just notified that I had the winning bid on one of your gift certificates Kathy!! Yeah! Can I wait for Fandango??? Humm…
I am a 23 year breast cancer survivor, so I try to participate in any fundraiser I can.
AND, I’m going to be at market, so if you need someone to take those Fandango bags home with them…oops, I mean for you, let me know!!
