Little Folks Scrap Scarf

Diana sported her fabulous new scarf made with Little Folks Voile into work this morning. Measuring 8 1/2″ wide x 78″ long, it wraps beautifully and hangs at just the right length. Each rectangle measures 4 1/4″ x 8″ finished size with two strips added to the ends.  Cute!

That is beautiful!! Those are my very favorite fabrics, and I especially like the blue & yellow with just enough pinks to brighten it, but not make it overly pink and bright–if there is such thing as too much bright and pink in a scarf.

it’s a great combo, Diana used the 2 fat eighths she’d won in a Pink Chalk giveaway along with some flaws from our scrap bin. It’s great when a project grows out of working with what you have

Love it! Sounds easy peasy too. I still haven’t made anything with my little folks fabrics, but I bought intending to make a scarf. Thanks for the inspiration!

The fabric is so light, airy and comfortable on my neck I forget to take it off at home. This is my spring go with everything scarf. I will be wearing it every day. If you see me around town say Hi.

You rock, Diana! This scarf is fabulous. I’ll be putting in an order – want to make one for my mom and aunt…it would be nice if you all could offer a fat quarter set using some combos of what you have left of the voile fabrics.

What is “voile” ? You mentioned it when referring to Valorie Wells fabrics…

      Leslie,

Voile is a light weight cotton fabric very similar to Liberty Tana Lawns. It has a great drape and is a bit sheer making it perfect for scarves.

This question has been asked several times – “is there a kit?” – with the same colours – I love it too! Let us know – thanks

Hi Susan, we debated on a kit but we just don’t have enough left of the Little Folks Voile. Valori Wells has a new collection coming soon featuring 7 new designs on the Voile which we’ll be stocking. We’re going to try and do some kits when the new bolts arrive.

Stephanie was absolutely right. The dark denim jacket really makes the colors of the scarf pop!
