I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% sure. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

It’s such a great sight! I know your proud of your pattern being so well liked but also of seeing all those great girls sewing up gorgeous bags! Everyone around here loves mine, too. It’s the perfect fit.

Those are great photos. The young ladies look so proud of themselves and the Mail Sacks look like something that they will definitely use (unlike the wrap skirt I vaguely remember swing in my Jr High Home Ec class). Mrs. Goodman is truly inspired, and so are you Kathy for having designed a product with such a wide appeal!

How cool! And wonderful that they’ve been taught this amazing skill. I think teaching someone to sew is one of the best gifts you can give a person– bravo teacher and students!

Wow! Thanks for sharing this picture. I just bought the Mail Sack pattern and will be making some for my teenage daughter and myself. We couldn’t decide which size was better for her, and with this visual, we can tell the smaller would be better for her. What a neat class!

it seems that learning sewing in high school is a shrinking option, I was so excited to hear about this example of it still being taught.

I thought the same thing, what a fantastic project to engage a young sewist (of course I’m a bit biased on the choice!). A project they’ll remember forever.
