I took the ferry over to Seattle this afternoon to attend an opening celebration for Sarah Stine’s new shop Fabric Crush! It’s absolutely gorgeous and perfect in every way.

The sun shined brightly and the air was perfectly crisp, most definitely a harbinger of great and fabulous things to come.

I met Sarah right here on these very pages which I think is pretty cool. We got started talking and never stopped. Phone, e-mail, lunch, shows, doesn’t matter, the conversation comes easy and our time visiting always too short.

I’m so proud of my sweet friend that she’s followed this dream and made it a reality.

The shop is located in the Magnolia district of Seattle at 2313 Viewmont Way W. (official open date is Tuesday, October 6). Way to go girl!

The shop looks amazing.
Wish I could visit in the flesh!!!

Looks like a terrific store! Best of luck to them!
oh, you lucky ducky! all those luscious bolts of fabric—-the colors are so saturated. (I didn’t notice a photo of the Civil War repros anywhere. . . . ; ) ). Her shop ought to do very well, particularly in that neighnborhood. Oh, how I miss my hometown! And on that note, THANK GOODNESS for internet shopping —YAY!
have a great week!—Laurie
Oh, wow! What I wouldn’t give to have a shop like that in the town I live in. There isn’t much in the way or craftiness around here and that shop would be even more grand if it was closer to me! Tell Sarah Congrats on a beautiful shop, well done!
What a beautiful shop! I wish I were in USA!
I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to move back to Seattle as badly as I do now that she’s opened her shop. I feel like I’m missing out on SO MUCH!! I’m super excited for her, so I’ll try to get over my pity party over not being there to be a part of it.
What a BEAUTIFUL shop…I’m sure she’ll do well. Internet friendships ROCK!
Wow!!! I feel a field trip in the near future
.
Kathy, sweet Kathy,
I was so happy to see you yesterday. Thank you for making the trek to the mainland for the open house. Life would be pretty wonderful if we lived next door to one another, but since we can’t manage that (there’s always retirement, right?) I will cherish the times we do get together. You’re my fabric soul sister. Talk to you soon!
Sarah
It looks like a gallery AND a fabric shop: two of my favorite things together! Best wishes to Sarah and Fabric Crush!
So FUN to finally meet you!
Wow, I wish I could shop for fabric somewhere that charming.
So pretty! Congrats to the proud owners
Looks wonderful! I’ll have to check it out on our next trip to Seattle. Not sure when that will be, but we’ve been throwing it around.
I love the way the fabrics are grouped. Makes me want a yard of each. Beautiful shop!!!

Kathy, THANK YOU! I just found my reason to come to Seattle on Saturday (or Sunday). My hubby and son want to dine at Red Mill and go to REI. And I said, “what’s in it for me?” TAH DAH! Fabric Crush is what. Oh it looks heavenly there.
PS… I loved all your market posts!
