A Maverick Star block for Amanda Jean’s Quilts of Valor project. This block lends itself so well to scrappy fabrics. I’m certain the quilts will be stunning. I spent way more time deciding which fabrics to use and how I wanted the center to look than piecing the block.
I made this block before using the Quiltville tutorial. Silly BooDilly has a very nice tutorial that results in a 12″ finished block (the size of this one).
Hip hip hooray for the first deadline I’ve been on time for all year, I sure hope it’s the beginning of a trend!
Oh, I love your block…I just sent mine off today too! I wish I had thought to use red and blue for the star points…looks great!
