One of my favorite things about writing in this little space are the unexpected connections that get made. I received an e-mail last week from Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree Quilts. She’d come across a blog post showing the laundry bag from her Easiest Accessory Bags Ever pattern. Then she followed a link from that blog back to my post on the same pattern.

She asked if I thought my blog readers would enjoy a Fig Tree pattern giveaway! Well… besides totally making my week to receive such a lovely e-mail from a designer I admire so much I was floored when the package arrived: 24 of her fabulous patterns! This girl knows how to do a giveaway!

New to me was Fresh Vintage, a quarterly 12-page, full color, card stock booklet containing vintage-inspired Fig Tree & Co. patterns, designer bios, style and decorating ideas, and simple recipes. I’m in love with this idea. A mini magazine full of inspiration, projects and patterns, all without the ads! Look for these in the shop soon.
I’ll select the winners on Friday. Leave a comment sharing your favorite Fig Tree project (one you’ve made or one you’d like to make). Comments are now closed, thank you!
Be sure to explore Joanna’s blog and website for even more inspiration.
Thank you Joanna!

I love the Madeline pattern! I think it would be darling in my little girls room! I
Wow! What a giveaway! I love her dress form pattern (the logo for her club) and the Patisserie series of quilts.
I really love her quilt patterns, especially the Rosette and Petit Fleurs patterns. I’m soooo crossing my fingers on this giveaway!
So much loveliness to choose from! Those sweet slippers really call my name…as does the travelers bag…and the quilts…!!
I haven’t made any Fig Tree designs…yet. I love the sun hat on the blog at the moment. Gorgeous. And there is nothing better for the hot Aussie sun then a big, floppy hat!
Great giveaway.

I’d like to try the pattern you recommended…easiest accessory bag ever. Thanks!
well, wowsers!! I have never made a Fig Tree quilt but I LOVE the Summertime Stars Pattern. So perfect for a little boy.
Thankyou! And good luck to all!
Woohoo!! A chance to get a Fig Tree Quilt pattern! I would most like to try the slipper cuties or the traveler’s bag. Great giveaway for great patterns.
Definitely slipper cuties! We would love those at our house.
Three cheers for Fig Tree Quilts!!!
I would love to try the Jelly Girl quilt. What a great excuse to by a Mill House Inn jelly roll.
My three year old has informed me that my favorite pattern are the sun hats, and she wants to know where hers is, LOL!
Looks like mama needs to do some sewing.
What a wonderful giveaway! For starters I love the checkerboard stars quilt, the purseletts, and the Paris traveler bag. Beautiful patterns with lots of inspiration.
Beautiful patterns but I think the Little Picasso is adorable and would be a perfect project to make for my daughter.
What a fabulous giveaway! I love the Sugar Pumpkin design
I really like the milk and cookies dress pattern. If one jelly roll pack will make about four dresses, I know what I’d be giving my nieces and daughter for Christmas!
I’ve never tried one, but the Paris Travel Bag looks awesome!
Just checked out her website, lots of cute patterns there! My favorites are the slippers, the Little Picasso apron and the Milk & Cookies dress. All with my 3 year old girly girl in mind. Thanks for the great giveaway Kathy & Joanna!
Inspired from your blog I made the gym bags for my girls to use as sleepover bags- They turned out soooo cute! I would love the slippers or the milk and cookies dress. It is awesome that fig tree is doing this give-a-way with you. There patterns are the best! Ty:)
the idea of mini books is great. always times when you are waiting in the car and can study a little “fit in your purse” sized inspiration book.
Thanks Kathy for generously sharing these beautiful patterns. I’m smitten with the following: French Kiss, Bon Voyage and My Paris Traveler’s Bag.
I would love to make one of the bag patterns! Thanks for a great giveaway!
I would love to make the accessory bag and they would make a great holiday gift. Thank you for the giveaway!
Kathy, I don’t have a favorite Fig Tree pattern, but could use one. Thank you for the opportunity to enter.
And (no brown nosing, just stating the facts) thank you for your blog. It’s inspiring and I learn something new almost ever post. If I was brown nosing I would have said every post! Thanks too for introducing me to Seth Godin’s blog and now Fig Tree’s blog.
I love the slipper pattern!!
I absolutly love the Caramels & Cream quilt pattern. Love it!!!
I love all the Fig Tree patterns b/c they are so clean and crisp looking. Right now I’m in the mood for Zacky’s Quilt and Peppermint Swirls. I love give-a-ways, too.
I like all of the bags in Easiest handbag ever. I don’t know wich of them I like the most, som maybe I’ll make all four of them.
Yes, Joanna is a great designer and I’ve heard a lovely person. Her fabrics are amazing. Thank you for the chance to win some Fig Tree goodness.
Hello!
What a wonderful (and generous!) giveaway!
I have used Joanna’s fabric for many projects and I love it. I have been planning to purchase the “Madeline” pattern because she will look perfect hanging above the daybed in my sewing room. Last Christmas I received a gift certificate (from my college student son) for my favorite quilt shop. With it, I purchased a copy of “Fresh Vintage Sewing” and I have plans for several projects. Finally, I wish I had a “My Paris Traveler” bag to take with me tomorrow on a trip to Chicago.
That’s it for now —Nancy
P.S. I have been reading your blog for a long time and this is the first time I have commented — thank you for many, many inspiring posts!
I love decorating for the holidays and I think the sugar pumpkin is adorable! Perfect for the fall season.
I’ve never done one of her patterns–but her Jelly Basket quilt is gorgeous! I’ve love to eventually be able to do that…

I’m amazed at the generousity of this giveaway, thanks for the chance!
I haven’t tried a pattern from Fig Tree before, but would love to get my hands on the Paris Travel bag, it is fabulous.
Yes, this is a great giveaway. Let’s see… the Paris travelers bag or purselet or a quilting pattern.. they all look good.
I would love to make up one of the Fresh Vintage patterns.
My absolute favorite is the easiest accessory bags ever, because I love easy and quick project and am a big fan of fabric laundry bags as they really don’t smell in your luggage when travelling!
Have a great weekend and thanks for the give-away!!
Hi, have been a big fan of Fig Tree fabrics for awhile, but have never used a pattern. I really like the new Cream Fraiche pattern and am also intrigued by Prairie Sweets, having seen some finished quilts while blog hopping!
I haven’t had the opportunity to use one of these patterns yet. They all look so beautiful! I really like the new Cream Fraiche pattern and am also intrigued by Prairie Sweets, having seen some finished quilts while blog hopping!
whoa! this is good…..since you pointed the site out, I looked all over and never have been there, but for looking at the bag pattern you made, which I did, too.
But Cell Phone Cuties looks like fun and since the making holiday season is here, this looks like a good gift and one to use up my fabric.
Thank you!
Oh no! Not a new website to get hooked on! I would love to try the fabric bowls! I can picture them for every holiday!!! And in every room!
Ive never one a giveaway! So.. hopefully this one will change that!

Wow – what lovely stuff – thanks for sharing Ms. Joanna’s gorgeous creative efforts! I love her bags, but I think I especially love the juicy simplicity of her “Plain & Simple” pattern book – they’re fabulous! Those quilts are going on my “eventual-to-do” list!
