Fig Tree Quilts Giveaway
Sep 22nd, 2009 by Kathy

One of my favorite things about writing in this little space are the unexpected connections that get made. I received an e-mail last week from Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree Quilts. She’d come across a blog post showing the laundry bag from her Easiest Accessory Bags Ever pattern. Then she followed a link from that blog back to my post on the same pattern.

She asked if I thought my blog readers would enjoy a Fig Tree pattern giveaway! Well… besides totally making my week to receive such a lovely e-mail from a designer I admire so much I was floored when the package arrived: 24 of her fabulous patterns! This girl knows how to do a giveaway!

New to me was Fresh Vintage, a quarterly 12-page, full color, card stock booklet containing vintage-inspired Fig Tree & Co. patterns, designer bios, style and decorating ideas, and simple recipes. I’m in love with this idea. A mini magazine full of inspiration, projects and patterns, all without the ads! Look for these in the shop soon.
I’ll select the winners on Friday. Leave a comment sharing your favorite Fig Tree project (one you’ve made or one you’d like to make). Comments are now closed, thank you!
Be sure to explore Joanna’s blog and website for even more inspiration.
Thank you Joanna!

There are so many beautiful Fig Tree patterns. I would love to try the My Paris Traveler’s Bag because I am in need of a sweet new overnight bag.
One day I would love to have the skills to make the Bird Song quilt.
Hello There! I hope the family is feeling better, never fun being under the weather. What a lovely bunch of patterns and so generous. I especially like the Little Picasso pattern and the Purseletts pattern, both would be great for the gift giving season that is fast approaching. Happy Autumn to you!!!
I gotta say, the Easiest Accessory Bag Ever pattern is my favorite, but I think that is mainly because it’s the only one I’ve had a chance to try so far. I am hoping to change that now that the kids are in school and the days are getting shorter. Maybe the Bon Appetite, Scarfletts & the Slipper Cuties for gifts? I love that you can use fat quarters for a lot of these.
I haven’t had the opportunity to use one of these patterns yet. They all look so beautiful! The ones that interest me are ‘No Fail Zippers’ and the quilt pattern ‘French Kiss’. Very nice giveaway!
I’ve really wanted to make that Paris Travel Bag. I have not gotten around to buying the pattern and doing it yet though.
I have made the Chantilly quilt. I really liked the results, however, it was a lot of work!
I want to make the Jelly Girl pattern. I really love her items and what a great giveaway. - Karen
That was so nice of her to do such a generous giveaway.I think I would like to try the purselet or the slippers!
I love the Little Picasso! Perfect for my 3 yr old. BUT, it is hard to choose. They are all so wonderful.
I lovedifferent bags, so I have to do one soon. Sugar Pumpkin is also in my mind
I am not much of a seamstress. That being said, I would love to learn. I would love to try the ‘ Little Picasso’ pattern to make some cute smocks for my cute nieces, I have lots of them and it would be great practice! I also am loving the ‘Christmas Rose’ Pattern, I need to make stockings for Christmas, and lets face it the red felt ones just aren’t cutting it anymore.
I like all of the Fresh Vintage patterns - so cute! Would love to make one of those quilts
What a wonderful giveaway and so generous of her!! I love all their patterns - the Paris bag is lovely and I love the idea of her mini-magazine…I’m a sucker for magazines!
Oooooo, good giveaway. I love the little picasso pattern, and the slippers pattern as well. They are both really cute!
I like all the patterns but I would really like to try the travelers bag. Thanks for the give away.
I love the easiest accessory bag ever pattern. It really is so simple to make! I am dying to get the “purselett” pattern and make those, they look adorable and great for gift giving! She really has so great patterns on her site!
I would love the easiest bag ever pattern. I am teaching a group of home school girls how to sew and they would love to make those bags!
What a fabulous giveaway! The ‘My Paris Traveler’s Bag’ pattern looks great, but I’m a quilter at heart. ‘Summertime Stars’ would be a sweet quilt to sew.
I would love to make the slippers or the easiest bag ever (a girl can never have too many bags!).
Oh, how have I missed these fabrics??? Gorgeous…. and the patterns, too! Love the purselette idea, and the slippers, too!
Wow! Joanna has quite a collection of patterns to choose from. Fresh Laundry caught my eye!
Thank you for this opportunity!
all the quilt patterns are gorgeous. I would love to try the sweet slippers!
I have the pattern & fabric to make the jelly stars - just need to find the time! I would also like to make petite fleurs - love the simplicity of the pattern
Joanna is so talented, I’ve been an admirer of her’s for a long time! Love the Rosettes pattern (one I’ve been dying to make!) and I agree, Kathy, that Fresh Vintage idea is a stroke of genius!

I love the little slippers pattern, it would be a great complement to Christmas PJs. I also love the little picasso pattern.
I love the Fresh & Vintage quilt from the front of her booklet. It shows off her fabrics beautifully!
I would love to make French Kiss out of the Mill House line - it would be awesome!! Thanks Joanna for sending patterns Kathy’s way!
What a fantastic e-mail and giveaway. Joanna has a gorgeous blog and sense of style. I love the Sugar Pumpkin.
i’ve been wanting to try the slippers pattern (there’s a bunch of kids and babies in my family i want to sew for) for a little while now. so many of the quilt patterns are just yummy - circle of stars, french kiss and petite flowers are some of my favorites.
Isn’t Joanna great? I emailed her recently because I say a beautiful quilt made from her fabrics, and although I saved the picture, I could not find the information again. She actually found it online and sent me the info!! I was amazed!
Yes, please, I would love to make the Little Picasso apron as gifts for some coworker’s 3 year olds. Art is so important and its more fun in a fancy apron, right?
What a great giveaway! I haven’t done a lot of quilting lately, but would love to try out that painter smock. The stocking pattern on the website looks charming as well, and I’m in the market for a stocking pattern!
What a great give-away - I wasn’t familiar with her patterns but loved looking at the shop. I loved the Little Picasso pattern the best!
I’m starting to pick projects that make great Christmas gifts - and those Slipper Cuties would make terrific gifts!!!
I just love your blog - and I love your online shop, too! So inspiring!
Thanks for hosting such a fun giveaway.
My favorite Fig Tree pattern ( and bag pattern in general right now) is the Paris bag! I just made one for my mom and I am so in love with the design of the pattern I cant wait to make myself one. The bag is super roomy (it takes 2 king size pillows to fill it up!) and I just love the quilting that you do on the outside.
Lovely stuff!
All the items are gorgeous, very cute patterns but would love to try one of the quilting patterns as just getting into that! All the bag patterns look lovely as well. Never seen Fig tree in the UK.
I just love the Rosettes quilt pattern. It is on my TO DO list one day. Her fabric looks so good in this, and all, her patterns.
All her patterns are sooooooo wonderful ! I wish I could try them all !! I would love to start by the scraflets, the petite gateau, sugarpumpkins,….. thanks soooooooo sosooooooo much for this amazing giveaway !
I would love to try the Sugar Pumpkin. The cell phone pattern was toooo cute! and soooo easy! Thanks……for the great giveaway.
I haven’t used one of these patterns yet, but if given the chance I’d take ANY of the quilt patterns. They’re all so beautiful…and I love the Cherry Creams on the Fresh Vintage quarterly.
I have actually been itching to get my hands on a Little Picasso pattern. My niece recently received a easel for her birthday, and I think she needs a super cute little smock. Also I think it would be fun to try my hand at the My Paris Traveler’s Bag, in preparation for my upcoming trip to Dallas… oh, and the French Kiss Quilt Pattern looks fun, and something that I might be capable of finishing… she really is a marvelous designer.
Fig Tree Quilts is totally new to me! I’ve been going on lots of weekend trips lately and never have a bag that’s “just right”. I’d love to try making the ‘My Paris Traveler’s Bag’…it could be just the bag I’ve been needing!
The Fig Tree patterns are great! There are too many to pick a favorite!
honestly I have been hemming and hawing on making the laundry bag myself and just haven’t gotten around to it!

but I WANT to!
That’s easy… the Accessory Bag pattern..I purchased from you shortly after your blog post. I found these awesome chambray/white RL sheets at a thrift store that I am going to use for the bottom/lining and then I’ll get fun prints for the main bag body to make bags for each of my nieces/nephews next year… Thanks to you and Joanna for the giveaway, how fun!
I’m loving the Petit Fours quilt pattern, the pattern on the cover of Fresh Vintage, and the pursletts! All of patterns look so amazing!
Wow, what a generous giveaway! I haven’t tried any of these patterns, but I would like to. I would love to try the easiest accessory bag ever pattern.
I haven’t tried any Fig Tree patterns but love the opportunity to try one. I’d love to win the giveaway. They all look fabulous.
I have been drooling over their sugar pumpkin pincushion kit!!!
oooooh delicious! So hard to choose (i’d love to try so many), but I think the slipper cuties pattern would be fun to try. Such amazing patterns!
So fun! I am in the middle of piecing a quilt using Joanna’s Fig and Plum fabrics and I signed up for the Fig Tree Club, so I’m excited to get the first project next month. Thanks Kathy and Joanna!
I was just admiring her new Little Picasso pattern at my local store the other day. So adorable and so simple. I would love to have that pattern to make “smocks” for my little 4-year old, Emma. I was even thinking that it would make a great “Dorothy” apron for her Halloween costume. Don’t you think?
Have always wanted to try The Easiest Tote Bag Ever and love Twilight Bloom.
The “Prairie Sweets” quilt looks awesome, but I’m thinking I’d better stick with something a bit easier…like maybe “Stepping Stones” or “Daisy Chains.” I’ll try anything by FIG TREE!!!
What a great giveaway! I love Joanna’s work — her fabrics and her patterns! I have to wonder if it was my laundry bag that led her to you … ? : )
If so, I am so glad to have made the connection that led to these great prizes!
Wow, what a great giveaway!! I love all the patterns she has. So sweet and refreshing. I really like the French Kiss quilt pattern. But really, I would make anything.
What a score! How generous! Would love to try the tote and slippers! What a terrific site too.
I’ve purchased the Jelly Stars pattern, but haven’t made it yet. I really want to, though, if I can only get past all my WIPs! Please enter me in your giveaway. And thanks to you and Joanna for the generosity!
http://thingstomakeinsteadofdinner.blogspot.com/2009/06/teacher-gift.html
I made a patch work quilt for my daughters kindergarten teacher with charm packs from the fig and plum (I believe that is the name of it) line…..the teacher loved it!! I also won from YOU the pattern for the little bowls…it is on my to do list…would not mind another pattern to add to the list
I’ve never tried any of the Fig Tree patterns. I think the Sugar Pumpkin and the Little Picasso patterns are both really cute! Thanks to both of you for the fun giveaway!
I’m impressed that she maintains her look with everything she produces. After looking through her site, I think I need to make Les Fleurs. I can picture it in my bedroom. Also the Madeline skirt looks fun. I wonder if I could pull it off.
I love the quilt patterns - Prairie Sweets really caught my eye, but they’re all divine. The bags are lovely, too. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
I love the little girl clothes but I don’t have any little girls. I love the pattern Prairie Sweets too!
I love Fig Tree fabric and patterns. I’ve only made one thing so far….Little Patches Lunchbag from Easiest Handbags Ever and I love it!
I made the slippers and also the accessory bags. Great patterns and easy to follow. Next I would like to try the Little Picasso or the Sugar pumpkin. They would be great for Christmas gifts.
I’d love to try making the Paris Traveler’s Bag, and those petit gateaux are just scrumptious.
Lorrie
The quilt patters are especially nice looking, and Fresh Vintage looks like it would be a lot of fun to flip through. I think the pattern I would most like to try is “Jelly Girl”. Thanks for sharing such nice looking patterns!
Wow! What a great giveaway! I love all her stuff! But, truth be told, I am most inspired by her logo, that fantastic dress! That magazine looks really cool, too. Love your blog, and thanks for the chance to win!
I love those Bon Appetite fabric bowls!
I’ve been considering the accessory bag and handbag patterns for a while, but haven’t got around to doing them. Love the quilts, too!
I’m all about the Paris Traveler’s Bag…life is far too short to not share it with a very large collection of wonderful handmade bags. I have ogled Fig Tree patterns from afar for some time but have never made one…yet.
I LOVE the Fresh Laundry quilt pattern! I know its not one that she sent you, but its one I’m adding to my Christmas list!
I really like the Little Picasso dress. I hope to make it for my daughter.
What a fun experience to have joanna contact you and send you all those patterns! Personally, I love Madeline and Petite Fleurs.
I always like to try something new. The easiest accessory bag has been on my mind after seeing it on your blog. I think it would make a great laundry bag gift for my daughter and friends when they leave for college.
What a generous gift! Thank you, Thank you Joanna, and Kathy, of course. I wouldn’t have been introduced to Fig Tree Quilts patterns without you! I was inspired by the same blog entry that Joanna saw. My daughter, my grandpuppy and I took a 2 week road trip in June. We drove from here in San Diego to southeastern Oklahoma to visit my Sister and Brother-in-Law, with a side trip to Little Rock, Arkansas to see the Clinton Presidential Center. I would recommend it to anyone in/going to Little Rock. It is lovely, and as “Green” as they could make it.
I don’t know if I could say we “bonded” on this trip - she is, after all, 25, and thinks I’m an “old lady” - but we had a good time. I have purchased the fabrics to make us commemorative “Easiest Accessory Bags Ever” in some fun trip-themed fabrics. Even though we didn’t travel Route 66, I got some fabric with that theme, some road talk (”are we there yet”, etc.), some western looking fabric (Red with a curvy “rope” stripe), one with gas pumps and another with dog paws on it. A blue linen for the bottom, and I think I’ll use some muslin for the lining. I think I got enough to make us the Laundry Bags, and one or both of the smaller ones. It took awhile to accumulate just the right ones by online, and I got what I could from you, Kathy!!
While I don’t have any little ones at home (she’s my baby), I do have Grandkids (besides the grandpuppy) - 11 counting the one due in February! I would love to win a pattern.
Thanks again, Kathy and Joanna
Oooh awesome! I like the Jelly Stars quilt pattern. It would be awesome with a rainbow burst sort of color scheme.
I love the LIttle Picasso pattern, but I have to be honest, I love all her patterns, I have made quite a few, but that smock is ADORABLE.
I love the Madeline dress! The Bon Apetit bowls are pretty adorable too!
Love the Little Picasso and the Traveler’s Bag!
Ooh! So pretty! I’ve been eyeing the paris traveler’s bag - but her description of the no-fail zippers on the purselettes has me needing that one!
What a great giveaway - so generous! I love the colours used in these patterns. The Petit Gateau is a pattern I would love, or any of the bag patterns, especially the purselettes!
Courtepointe
What fun!!! I haven’t made a Fig Tree pattern yet but what fun it was looking at the site and drooling all over the patterns. Let see… where to start. I loved the Bon Apetite bowls, So Fail Zippers, and those Oh So Sweet Slippers!!! Thank you Joanna for the chance to win and Thank you Kathy for passing on the goodies!
I would love to make French Kiss! Really I love all her patterns. And that laundry bag is calling to me.
I would like to try one of these patterns. Look great!!
I had no idea she had a blog… how wonderful. I just love the way the Fig Tree patterns look, and her prices are so reasonable. Little Picasso has to be my favorite, and something I’d really love to try!
I’d love to make the My Paris Traveler Bag–I may even be able to pull it off! Fantastic giveaway!
I purchased the Milk & Cookies dress pattern by Fig Tree Threads & absolutely loved how simple & easy her directions were! My 11 mth old daughter had a new dress in just a couple hours. I would love the Bon Appetite pattern. I’ve been looking for a nice way to store my most used notions (instead of the clear Gladware containers they are currently in!)
I’ve seen the fig colors before but never followed them back to the source. How nice to discover the website and so many patterns. I will definitely be checking out the Fresh Vintage mini magazine for inspiration. As for which project interests me most, it is the Madeline dress form applique project. That is lovely in the fig colors but also an open invitation to try it in several other color patterns. I can envision three dress forms in a row on my wall, each with different color themes. Thanks.
For me it’s the purslette with the no fail zippers. Like Joanna I think of myself as a quilter, not a seamstress, so the htought of zippers totally freaks me out. I’d love to give this pattern a go!
Such generosity! I love the slippers and the bon appetit basket - so cute.
I have the Jelly Stars pattern and several jelly rolls that I’m looking forward to using. I’ve always wanted to make one of those stars but was put off by all those bias edges. Jelly Stars is all strip piecing, so much easier! What a great giveaway!
I haven’t tried a Fig Tree pattern, but there’s no day like today, right?
Ohh, that girl rocks! I would love to try one of her patterns. I actually have the laundry bag bookmarked for my to do list. Thanks so much. I’ve got my fingers crossed.
all her patterns are so cute! the slippers and the little picasso patterns are my favorite! if i knew how to quilt i’d definitely make the les fleurs one!
These patterns look amazing. My eyes went right to the slippers on her website. I guess I am dreaming of cooler weather!!
I LOVE Fig Tree Quilts! I only just discovered them and have been drooling over their website for a little while. I think my favorite pattern (hard to choose!) is the Petite Fleurs, but I also really like Peppermint Swirl, especially with the holiday season coming up.
I love Fig Tree and Joanna is so sweet! I haven’t made anything using a Fig Tree pattern yet, but I have used Fig Tree fabrics! Scroll down a bit to see the monkey I made using some fabrics from the Mill House Inn collection: http://miss-print.blogspot.com/2009/08/im-back-did-you-miss-me.html
I really love Fig Tree patterns, and two of the ones I’d love to try are the Paris Traveller’s Bag and the Prairie Sweets quilt pattern. I’d also really love to check out the Fresh Vintage magazine.
I love the Fig Tree club right now. The quilt top that uses Mill House Inn is gorgeous and I’m itching to make it!
Thank you so much for the generous giveaway!
Wow, she’s prolific! I really like the french kiss pattern.
I love the Easiest Tote Bag Ever Pattern and hope to make it as Christmas gifts for firends and family. Actually all the Fig Tree Designs are to die for!!!!

awesome! i love the little picasso apron and the easiest accessory bag too. thanks for the chance to win! singinsweet2002(at)yahoo(dot)com
The “My Paris Traveler’s Bag” looks fabulous, perfect for my trip to Geneva next month. It’s not Paris, but oh so close to France! ( Equally chic over there would be the purseletts for a night on the town.)
Oh my gosh! I love Fig Tree! What a great giveaway~
I would love to try the purselett - thanks for such a great giveaway!
All her patterns and fabrics are so yummy! But I have to say I adore her Rosettes Quilt pattern. Just simply gorgeous!
I love the new “Sugar Pumpkin” pattern… it’s so sweet! I think it would be so fun to make. I haven’t gotten that far yet. But I would like to add to my collection. It would make such a cute pincushion! Also the laundry bag and the huge shoulder bag are great too. So many patterns…. so little time!
Absolutely the My Paris Traveler’s Bag. Anything that promises a revolutionary way to put in zippers is just what I need!
OK– I must win…. I’m a real figtree fan—I have made her cottage Garden quilt and I’m playing with her Dandelion Girl fabrics right now. I’ve made a quilt with the Yultide Blessing line also … In credibly talented lady….
Hard to pick just one. I really like the Butterscotch Tart, just beautiful and sounds yummy too.
I would love to make the Paris Traveler’s bag. Hope I win
This is an awesome give-away. I would love to any of the Fig Tree patterns. They are all so great. Thank you to you and Joanna. Take care and God bless, Cory
I would love to make the big bag pattern. I can never have too many handmade bags.
I received the my Paris Traveler Bag Pattern for Christmas and I am still anxiously awaiting time to make it! I love its largeness which is great for an overnight trip with the girls. On the Christmas wish list for this year is the Little Picasso!
I looked at them for the first time and Wow! I love the little girl dresses - I’ve got a granddaughter to sew for and can really see her in them. But really they’re all good designs.
my favorite is the pumpkin pin cushion. I would have a zillion pincushions if I didn’t use a bit of restraint.
I’m making Posies A La Mode right now from Joanna’s latest Fresh Vintage…I’m loving it…just like I do all of her patterns and fabrics!
Oh wow, I know saying that I like all of them is a bit boring, but if I could only pick one…only one at the moment, it would probably be the slippers pattern! My toes are cold right now and I would love to learn to make slippers.
Wow!
The Easiest Accessory Bags Ever looks like fun, I’m thinking that is the way to go.
I went and did a little “browsing” after reading your post, and found many Fig Tree designs I would love to try. French Quarter and Fresh Laundry especially caught my eye. One of those would probably be first!!
Hard to choose just one. I just received her newest book and am
in love with her designs. I want to make the Little Picasso for my youngest grandgirls for preschool….also thought I could make extras for them to give as birthday presents to help out my busy
daughters! Thanks for a chance to win one of her patterns.
I haven’t tried her patterns but Id love to make her bags, being a bag addict myself.
My favorite pattern is the Purseletts - I’m stitching some up now for holiday gifts. Perfect!
I would like to try the easiest purses They look beautiful.
I also like the fresh vintage & slippers
Thanks
I’ve been dreaming about the paris traveler’s bag for a while now!
I have been wanting to try those little bowls since I first saw them!

The Paris Traveler’s Bag looks great for carting all of my daughter’s stuff around in - kind of like an oversize diaper bag.

What a nice thing? I’d love to make something from “Fresh Vintage Sewing.”
little Picasso smock for kids or the easy easy bag for me
The easiest handbags ever pattern is my absolute favorite. I’ve made scarflettes and have used her fabric for a quilt and diaper bag. I love the feel of her fabric and I have to say that all of her patterns are easy to follow. The patterns were made for quilters not seamstresses so they are very straightforward and easy, not to mention stylish.
Holy moly! That’s some serious giveaway goodness! It’s so hard to choose my favorite Fig Tree pattern, but I have to say Jelly Girl is something I have on my to do list!
Oh wow oh wow! I love Fig Tree & Co.! I’m a quilter (well, I’ve made three patchwork quilts so far) and love all of their quilt designs. However, my favorite of their patterns has to be the Posies a la Mode quilt design from vol 13. Oh swoon.
What a generous give away!
I’d love to one day make the Bon Apetite-bowls or the Easiest Accessory Bag Ever. But I also like many of the quilts!
Spoiled for choice! But I love the vintage post cards and have wanted to make one forever - LQS does not stock them sadly. Of course I also adore the new little pumpkin pin cusion!
Great give away!!
I like all of the Fresh Vintage patterns, they are so gorgeus! Would love to make one of those scarfs too.
Veronica
I have never made one of her projects before, but have long since been a fan - would love the opportunity to have a go!
Fig tree is a new quilt shop to me. Her Purselets and My Paris Traveler’s Bag are my favorites.
Fig tree patterns are new to me, but I’m loving that little quilt pattern “Fresh Vintage” in the picture. Que cute!

I’m so pleased to discover these patterns through your blog. What a fantastic giveaway.
I love the French Kiss pattern with its great diamonds and the Paris bag. I have not made either of these yet. I love the color palette Joanna uses - all that buttercream is delicious!
HI!
What an awesome giveaway! Joanna is one of my most, if not THE most foavourite designer - both, fabric & quilt pattern…! I started collecting her patterns and fabric collections a little while ago…mostly her older patterns…but {shame on me!} I haven’t implement one of them…my favourite is “Prairie Sweets” from an older “Fresh Vintage” issue. I already collect fq’s for that one as I want to include different collections…to give it a more vintage feel…
And then I want to make the “Paris Traveler Bag”…haven’t started on this one yet because I’m still afraid of making 3-dimensional things with zippers {gasp!}!
Recently I’ve fallen in love with the quilt from the current issue when I saw the beginnings of my blog-friend’s own quilt…
Thanks for sharing (both, Joanna & you…it must be hard to part with those gorgeous patterns ;o) )
Julia
Oooh, I love those little Bon Appetit bowls! I think they’d make awesome little holiday gifts with a small bag of goodies inside. Another thing to add to my to-do list
I am in love with the Madeline Wall Hanging Quilt. I have made 3 quilts with her Patisserie line & the new Mill House Inn fabric. I would love to try one of her patterns.

Hi! I have not made any of the Fig Tree patterns yet, and they all look so wonderful. I love the traveler’s bag, and would like to see the Fresh Vintage magazine!
I just purchased the pattern for Cell Phone Cuties and can’t wait to get started on it. What a wonderful giveaway!
I am just starting to get my feet wet in the sewing world. While I would love to be able to tackle the Fresh Vintage, I think the Purseletts are a little more my speed. I love all these designs… simplistic and fascinating.
That is incredibly kind. I have been so interested in these patterns too. Thank you.

Oh gosh what a giveaway. Please throw me into the pot. thanks.
What a great give-away. I’ve never made any of these patterns before so I would enjoy making any one of them. The Paris Overnight Bag, the Purseletts, Sweet slippers …. any one of them would be wondeful.
I love the “My Paris Travel Bag”. My bag has seen better days and the zipper is broken. Hard to look sophisticated with a stained bag and a safety pin for a zipper pull!
i haven’t had the opportunity to try these patterns yet, but i love the easiest accessory bag ever pattern and the french kiss quilt pattern as well!
The Fresh Vintage booklet has a quilt on the cover that I would love to make! I have some pretty charm packs just waiting to be made into a quilt and that pattern would be perfect for using them in it!
I have to say I like all these patterns and the fabrics too! I’d be most interested in trying the Paris Traveler’s bag or one of the apron patterns. So cute!
I love the Easiest Accessory Bags Ever patterns but still haven’t tried them. The purselets look mighty cute, too.
What beautiful fabric & patterns…ewwww I just can’t choose. It would have to be the Paris Travel Bag or the Easiest Accessory Bags. This is a great giveaway, pass on thanks for me.
I’m in <3 with the Paris Traveler’s bag and would love to have that pattern (or any of them, for that matter). I do have one Fresh Vintage (Vol 10) issue in which I’m drooling over the Fig & Plum basket http://aquiltinglife.blogspot.com/2009/06/fig-plum-basket.html I intend to make this in baby fabrics for my new little one due in December. A perfect caddy for diapers, ointments, etc. Then maybe one in Christmas fabrics. The list goes on….
So many lovely patterns. I love the patterns for jelly rolls particularly the Rosettes pattern. So pretty.
I have the Coney Island pattern that I want to make. It’s the old fashioned nosegay, or icecream, or whatever you would like it to be!! With now Y seams. I also have a charm pack of Fig and Plum waiting for me to decide what to make with it! What a great giveaway. Good luck to everyone:)

Oh! I like the purslette and the Paris travel bag is cool too. I love her blog. Thanks for sharing.
Jody
What generosity! Thank you both! I really like the accessory bag and especially with the fabrics you used to make yours. They make laundry fun - who would have thought!
There are so many wonderful patterns to choose from, it’s hard to pick just one! I would LOVE to make the Summertime Stars quilt for my parents 50th anniversary! For a non-quilt project, I would definitely make the My Paris Travelers’ Bag! Thanks for the fabulous and VERY generous giveaway!!
I would love to make a big laundry bag, for myself! I sew all the time for my daughters and others but have noticed the hole in our laundry bag getting bigger and bigger. I just sigh to myself and think of that saying, “the children of the cobbler have no shoes…”
Thanks for doing the give away!
Decisions, decisions—–My Paris Travelers Bag and the Little Picasso smock. Fun, fun!!!
I like the Summertime Stars quilt!
I’m intriuged by the laundry bag. We’re trying to figure out a better way to do our laundry collections and between a large bag and a frame I’m making with my father in law, it would be the perfect solution!
I dream of sewing a basket of Slipper Cuties in all sizes for the front door so that we could finally encourage a shoe free house!
I think my favorite would be the easiest tote bags ever collection. I really should make up some nice bags for when I do short travel.
Oh Kathy! How fun!
Hmm, I love her fabrics and have followed her blog for a couple of years. I have made quite a few of her patterns, but the pattern I have made the most (not sure I saw anyone else mention it) is her cell phone cuties. I make lots of purses and totes and make matching accessories for them and this is my favorite cell phone caddy so far. I made them for gifts last Christmas, and I have even taught it in one of my classes! A big hit with everyone!
Cheers,
Terri

Beautiful patterns but I think the Little Picasso is adorable and would be a perfect project to make for my daughter.

I’ve never tried one, but the Paris Travel Bag looks awesome!
Just checked out her website, lots of cute patterns there! My favorites are the slippers, the Little Picasso apron and the Milk & Cookies dress. All with my 3 year old girly girl in mind. Thanks for the great giveaway Kathy & Joanna!
Inspired from your blog I made the gym bags for my girls to use as sleepover bags- They turned out soooo cute! I would love the slippers or the milk and cookies dress. It is awesome that fig tree is doing this give-a-way with you. There patterns are the best! Ty:)
the idea of mini books is great. always times when you are waiting in the car and can study a little “fit in your purse” sized inspiration book.

Yes, Joanna is a great designer and I’ve heard a lovely person. Her fabrics are amazing. Thank you for the chance to win some Fig Tree goodness.
Hello!
What a wonderful (and generous!) giveaway!
I have used Joanna’s fabric for many projects and I love it. I have been planning to purchase the “Madeline” pattern because she will look perfect hanging above the daybed in my sewing room. Last Christmas I received a gift certificate (from my college student son) for my favorite quilt shop. With it, I purchased a copy of “Fresh Vintage Sewing” and I have plans for several projects. Finally, I wish I had a “My Paris Traveler” bag to take with me tomorrow on a trip to Chicago.
That’s it for now —Nancy
P.S. I have been reading your blog for a long time and this is the first time I have commented — thank you for many, many inspiring posts!
I love decorating for the holidays and I think the sugar pumpkin is adorable! Perfect for the fall season.
I’ve never done one of her patterns–but her Jelly Basket quilt is gorgeous! I’ve love to eventually be able to do that…

Have a great weekend and thanks for the give-away!!
