Kristin La Flamme’s husband has put together the most amazing project, a drive to collect bundles of sewing supplies to be distributed to Iraqi families before his unit departs from Iraq in the near future. Given how long I’ve read Kristin’s blog I know her husband has been deployed for quite some time. For him to spend the time before he leaves making this happen is truly inspiring. I had a wee bit of extra fabric laying around and am grateful for the opportunity to send this off today. Participation details on Kristin’s blog post.
** Updated: you can go direct to the Iraqi Bundles of Love blog for all the news on this incredible project! **

Oooh, all those needles and pins and thimbles are sure to make any recipient happy! Thank you so much for participating, and for the link. People can go straight to the project blog too: http://www.ibol.wordpress.com. You rock!
What an amazing project! I have gathered a few things I have on hand here and will hopefully put the bundle in the post tomorrow morning. Thanks Kathy.
Wow! Your package has me positively drooling! I plan to do this too. It’s such a great way to contribute.
Thank you so much for sharing this. This is a project that is very near to my own heart because of the kindness the Iraqi people showed my brother when he was deployed there with the Marines. And, of course, I love sewing and sewing supplies!
Wow, your package looks great! I just sent mine off yesterday. It was more of a hodge podge of extra notions and you- name- its ( crochet / knitting needles, yarn, buttons, binding, etc.. ) here in the house. I pray that the women there can pool their resources and come up with some great things!!
I mailed a bundle also….but now after seeing yours….I better mail another one! Mine was rather drab, lol. Wonderful effort by obviously a wonderful man. I am glad to help.
What a great idea! I was just on the IBOL web page and there are some pictures posted of the bundles that are ready for delivery and Kathy I think I saw yours on top of the pile.
Thank you for posting this project it has been fun to follow and participate in.
