I went through the quilt market photos last night in an attempt to somehow organize this series of posts. I decided to split it out between Patterns, Fabric and Friends. There is a lot of cross over with the final category which makes being in this industry just about the most fun thing I could ever imagine doing.
I’m going to talk about each designer I met and share the photos. The new patterns are all on order and will be arriving in the shop over the next month. Be sure you’re signed up for the newsletter to get updates when they arrive! All the links take you to the current designs I have in the shop right now.
Jess Goldman from Bananafana. What a sweetheart, she was so fun and energetic, just like her patterns. What a pleasure it was to meet her in person. She has several new patterns out including Lollipop for little girls and a pattern booklet with projects for the home. Lollipop includes a halter baby doll dress, short bloomers, and a hat:

Liesl Gibson of Oliver + S. Gorgeous samples from her new Spring pattern line:

Michelle Kunigisky of Busy Bee Quilt Designs. I cut her off behind a customer but just trust me that she’s totally fabulous. All smiles and excited about her new table runner pattern named the Pearl District. You can see it on the front table on the left in lime, pink and black:

Joanna Figuroa of Fig Tree Quilts had another gorgeously arranged booth. Her beautiful fabrics and style coming through in every last detail. She has several new mini-sewing patterns including fabric bowls, a play smock and a garment bag.

Chelsea Andersen (on the right) of Pink Fig Patterns. Adorable personality, cute patterns. Her samples were fabulous, great mixtures of color and design. She has 3 new patterns including a shirred bodice top, a dress/swing top, and a pattern for altering jeans.

Lila Tueller wearing the Funked Out Peasant Blouse (yes, more on order!). Lila has several new patterns and a new line of fabric for Moda. Her booth won Best New Exhibitor booth.

Cindy Taylor Oates (on the left) of Taylor Made Designs. She has a new mini-pattern booklet for the cake (similar to the cupcake pattern). You can see the samples displayed on the cake stands, so cute:

Indygo Junction. I somehow managed to not get a picture of the totally fabulous Amy Barickman, founder of Indygo Junction. Amazingly positive energy and so proud of all her designers and employees. They have new designs for women’s and kid’s clothing, purses and some really cute accessories. Everyone working the booth was wearing Indygo Junction clothing designs. I just wanted to stay there and talk sewing!

A reminder about the drawing: leave a comment on any post this week to be eligible for Monday’s drawing. I’ll put up a post later today with the market booty I’m giving away.

Wow, those pictures are so gorgeous, you must have had a great time!
Each booth was beautiful but that picture of Oliver + S – well – it is so unique for its simplicity, almost like a breath of fresh air, I’m sure the simplicity caught a lot of people’s attention.
Amy and her mom (from Indygo Juction) are both fabulous! I see them in Des Moines quite often… Also, love that Pearl District table runner!
