Laptop Sleeve

On Monday mornings we do a little show and tell at the offices of Pink Chalk Fabrics (ie the extra bedroom, the family room office, plus any and all other space I can get away with taking over in our house). My colleague Susan Berdan made this FABULOUS laptop sleeve. The wool she felted for the flower applique was also used for the lining. The pattern was designed by Susan Wasinger and appeared in the Premier Issue of Stitch Magazine (page 35).

This is wonderful! How did I miss it in Stitch? I swear that first issue is well on it’s way to being tattered. The second issue (from your shop) is awesome too! I LOVE Stitch! And your shop. Thank you so much for carrying magazines now. They are hard to come by out here in the middle of the Australian outback.

    xo,
    Tia

Keep in mind that fabrics like fleece or wool should not be used near laptops as it creates static electricity that will screw with the motherboard inside. This is the same reason that you should never place your laptop on a carpet.

This laptop sleeve is cute and precious! Since it is handmade – it’s that much more special! I travel a lot working as a risk management consultant. I’m away from home Mondays to Fridays but when I come home I like to spend time doing creative things. It helps me to relax. Your design made me think of my awfully super-organized Briggs & Riley laptop computer sleeve(http://www.briggs-riley.com/category/group.aspx?cat=laptop-sleeves). What a contrast, but I can pretty much stuff all that I need in it. I live through my laptop so need to specially protect it. The Briggs & Riley 15.4” computer sleeve suits me fine. It’s got a checkpoint-friendly SpeedThru design – I don’t need to take my laptop out of the sleeve at security screenings. But thanks for letting me enjoy the simple, creative things in life which are so special! I may just make one for myself or to gift to a girlfriend.

I do accept as true with all the ideas you have offered in your post. They are very convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are very brief for newbies. May you please lengthen them a bit from next time? Thank you for the post.
