Oh this quilt is so amazing…. My very dear freind Heather died a week ago tonight after a whirling 5 months from diagnosis of cancer to her untimely departure and just this morning I got it in my mind that I wanted to make a memorial quilt for her….. I thought that I would gather fabrics from her favorite clothes, linens she loved, patterns that reflect her passions and artistic preferences, and photos transfered to fabric. I can see the love that went into your quilt for your sister. Part of what is holding me back is wanting this to be the perfect quilt, so that her husband can wrap himself up in “her” when he feels lost. Thank you for sharing your beautiful quilt and the story. It inspires me to push forward with my idea…..

I absolutely love the quilt that you made for your sister….it feels like an adventure. The hands are beautiful…and make me smile! I want to keep looking at it to see all the little surprises in it. I am so happy for you that you have found your true passion in life! It shows in everything you do.
I miss you so much…..and can hardly wait to see you. Only 3 weeks!
