Bloggy friends are the best. Sarah called me this morning and I was sharing the fact that I wanted to write a blog post but I was out of ideas. She came up with 10 (tailored for me no less) off the top of her head. This is one of them. Thank you my dear. It was the blog-funk-block-breaker that I needed to re-start my engine.
I’m getting excited about my trip to Sew Expo tomorrow (Thursday, Feb 26). If you’re there look for a curly headed woman with a big smile on her face wearing a Mail Sack bag.
See all the fabulous creations on the Crafty Friends of Pink Chalk Studio and Pink Chalk Fabrics Flickr groups (let’s plan to debate the merits of multiple Flickr groups next week! yes, another post, the ideas are really flowing now).

I’ll look for you! I’m so excited to be going. I sure hope that we don’t get the snow that the weather folks are talking about.
I’m SEW jealous!
I am new to blogging, so I still have enough ideas to wright about, but I can imagine that it can be hard to find an interesting subject.
I subscribed to this blog, and yesterday there happened to be a blog about this subject. I thought I could share it with you:

Love it.
So nice to catch up with you today Kathy! I hope the predicted snow doesn’t stick and you’re able to get to Expo easily. I’m looking forward to new ideas and inspiration there myself. Talk to you soon!
Lovin’ the bottom left – black with colorful flowers!
Oh it’s so wonderful that you will be going to Expo. I have wanted to go this year but can’t. Will you take LOTS of photos?
Hope you have a great time!
Lori
It must be the time of year, I am a huge blog funk, both reading them and writing my own.
question for you. I was planning on going to expo tomorrow to shop for a few hours, but my babysitter fell through. Would It be somewhat kid friendly with a stroller? Thanks so much. Hope you had a great day!
I hope you made it to the expo in spite of the snow and had fun today. I had wanted to go, but then couldn’t. I would have looked for you there!
For Allison: I just got back! I’ll warn you that it’s very crowded and not particularly kid friendly. My daughter went with me one year when she was 7 because her school was out for conferences. It was very difficult on her because of cramped space and her attention span. She was just out and out bored and got really tired walking around. Of course, that made it not very much fun for me either. The booths are so small that I don’t think you could actually get a stroller into most of them. A lot are setup where there’s barely enough room to pass another adult. If you have a friend you’re going with you could definitely take turns actually stepping into the booths.
The good thing is that Thursday is always the most crowded. Sunday will be the least crowded.
I don’t want to discourage you from going because I think it’s such an amazingly worthwhile event. There are definitely people there with kids in strollers and kids walking.
I checked on the website and found some photos of what the vendor floor looks like. Take a look at the first picture on this page:

I hope you get there and have a good time. My favorite booths were Pacific Fabrics, Marcy Tilton, Sandra Betzina, Billie’s Fine Fabrics and the Sewing Workshop. I did my part to prop up fellow business owners today
Also, don’t miss the scones with strawberry jam in the cart just outside the Showplex! And take your own water bottle and save $3.27!
It’s good to see the bags in so many different fabric. Very impressive.
Beautiful bags, such fun colors!
Scones with strawberry jam sounds wonderful.
