Nancy created this doll for me as part of the Out of the Box Portrait Challenge for our Feb ’09 group meeting (see my project for Gladys here). I knew it was me when I saw the colored pencils! Wow, she did such an incredible job. Thread to make the curly hair and and that wonderful pointy nose!

I definitely scored in the swap. Nancy’s detail work is amazing, I feel so lucky to own it!

What a beauty! And she looks so happy (O:
I love the hair and the pencils are just hysterical.
That doll is adorable…just like you!
She did really amazing work. Wow!
I’m looking forward to the shot of you in the big girl version of that dress!
Maybe for the summer solstice?
She is so sweet and enthusiastic! The pencils are a brilliant addition.
what amazing work — love the doll! my sister knit a doll of me holding a diploma (i’m working on my dissertation) and there’s something very good-juju about having a little crafty version of yourself around.
Thanks everyone!
Sarah, I’m on the floor laughing !
Mara, I totally agree, she’s already become my muse!

Looks like one happy, high-flying muse.
Just love it.
