A few links to keep you busy while I finish my sales tax return which the FABULOUS State of Washington gave me a 4 day extension to complete (on the phone no less!):
- Rebekah made this fantastic Plain Spoken quilt from the Modern Quilt Workshop book using a Kona Cotton Starter Pack fat quarter set. Wowza!
- My best friend since childhood has finally taken all his amazing artistic talent and offbeat humor (yes, I laughed a LOT as a teenager) and launched ggunk.com, an online shop featuring greeting cards and unique nonsense.
- Quiltville’s Scrap User’s System, can I hire her to come over?
* I’m working on a new promo shot for the Carousel Quilt. Round two scheduled today.

gorgeous quilts.
You must have sounded pretty desperate if they gave you an extension over the phone
I did Jennifer!
Well good for you! And then you have to do the next years! Sigh… such is life!
I love the plain spoken quilt, the colors are wonderful.
Oh, and yes… isn’t Bonnie’s system great! Not that I’m that organized, sorry I guess I just don’t use all that I have. I try to use most everything… but time is something that plays in too!
Have fun with your layouts!
So pretty!
This quilt (photo) is absolutely gorgeous. I love it!
Kathy, your Caruosel Quilt is great. I loved this panel when I saw it and had to try it ous, so I bought 2 panels from you last summer. Now I have finished two bookbags. Pleasecome over and have a look: http://quilt-it.blogspot.com/2009/02/twin-bags.html.
Ugh – taxes are the least fun part of running a business, but a necessity, nonetheless. I was so drained after climbing through all my stuff and counting everything! State taxes were due January 20 here in TX and I sent them in on the last day.
)
WA state is pretty mellow. The people they have working for US are very helpful.
I feel fortunate. My friend does my taxes (it takes her about a half hour) and I do something like hem some curtains for her. Certainly a more than fair trade in my book!
Good luck! Maybe I need to pass her name on…fabric trade in her future?
Oh boy do I love the design of that quilt. the colours surrounding the squares really make this pop.
excellent way to use fabric
