Shop Talk – Pink Fig Patterns, Echino + My Folklore

As we fell into bed last night at 11:30 I told Greg that our Christmas Tree had March written all over it.  It took him a minute and then we both couldn’t stop laughing. Whew, all those big dreams of mine are creating quite the whirlwind around here.

To focus I’ve started making daily lists while watching Caitlin + Leil eat breakfast. I write down 3 or 4 things I’d like to accomplish for the day. As soon as the last bus pulls out I start in on the first item. If nothing else, as the day comes to a close I can feel good about having completed something that was important to me for the day. At the end of the week it adds up nicely.

Today’s first item: Write a Post. I’m on my way!

An important update on the David Walker Robots contest: I got overwhelmed with the responses. Every link I followed took me on a little adventure! I still haven’t gotten through them all. That collection also sold extremely well. Like all the stack packs sold out and the yardage is looking thin. Putting together a kit will not be feasible. The good news is I reserved a Fat Quarter Stack Pack for the winner that will still be chosen. I need a pattern in my arsenal for kitting this type of fabric line so all of your input is still extremely valuable to me. I’m learning as I go so I thank you for your patience.

So many fabulous items have been arriving in the shop. I have to give that Pink Fig Pattern cover above a huge shout out. My goodness, that has got to be the cutest cover photo I’ve ever seen! See all the Pink Fig Patterns here.

The talented Lizzy House debut’s Lizzy Dish with Andover Fabrics:

New My Folklore (plus two old favorites) from Lecien:

LOVE the new designs from Echino by Etsuko Furuya. The fabric is 45% cotton/55% linen blend. A beautiful mid-weight linen texture perfect for making handbags (I’m thinking Birdie Sling and Mail Sack):

Kokka Prints + Lecien’s Caramel Town:

5 New Patterns by Grand Revival (I’m in love with the drape of her apron flounce!):

Now on to that next item on the list…

Oooooooooo FUN !!! I LOVE all of those fabrics …. especially the Lizzy Dish stuff !!

……and I LOVE your new plan of writing down 3 or 4 things that are important to YOU to accomplish during the day (which I’m assuming do NOT include laundry, clean up the kitchen, clean up the bathrooms, and go to the grocery store …. again!). I’m starting tomorrow !! THANKS !

Dorie: The top four in that photo are new colorways. I haven’t seen them either so I think I must have ordered them when they were first released. The bottom two are my absolute favorites ever!
