Open and Shut

11/21/08: Congratulations to Cara, comment #97! She chose my favorite one. Now off to the show!

Thoughts I had while taking pictures:

  • I LOVE how the big prints have a fabulous random pattern thing going on when closed.
  • Definitely need to keep one of the black & white ones for myself.
  • I REALLY hope the snaps hold up.
  • Looking for comparative items on Etsy for pricing assistance is a really bad idea. No, I don’t think I’ll be selling them at $5 each.
  • If you ever hear that I broke my neck falling off a ladder you’ll know what I was doing.

Pick your favorite and tell me why. I’ll pick one winner at 9:00 AM tomorrow morning before I leave for the craft show.

Hi Kathy, I already have a PCS original mini, so no need to sign me up for your giveaway this time. However, if I got to choose another, *wink* I think I’m in love with that Sheep Farm print. So cute. Now, hurry, get off the ladder! And have fun!

Oh, wow. These are fantastic! I love the sage green one near the top — reminds me of Tiffany and art deco french posters. Or the peach one with the flowers next to it. They’re all so gorgeous! $5 is WAY too little, too!

black and white ones, definitely. though they all look great. :0) good luck! and $10 seems right, considering the fabric, the design(that curved edge is not always easy to get right every time), the impeccable work.

I love the black and white one! I like to have colorful purses, but all of the little purses I keep inside my big purse are all black or black and white.

    What a great giveaway!

Also, I just placed my first order with you and I couldn’t believe how fast the shipping was! I cant wait to order again.

I love the black and white one because b&w is classic. Always in style. Great job by the way….to cute!

hmmmmm … love them all, but the one that called my attention immediately is the one with flowers drawn with a single brown line on a white background, with dabs of goldenrod and a turquoise flower center … it sits just below the black/white ones in the bottom picture. it reminds me of a wonderful children’s book entitled “everybody needs a rock”.

lOvE the oRaNgE one at the top left. I have been wanting that fabric now for so long. Five bucks is a very fair price;)

I agree that $5 is not enough! I like the one in the bottom picture, middle, just to the left of the black & white ones at the top… kind of a gold, white, burgundy and blue. I don’t know why I like it best – the randomness of it I suppose. If I don’t win, and you have some left, I hope you will sell one to me!

Oh I think I love the center one bottom photo the most…the yellow/white flower with the teal center. Maybe because it’s the only one of that print, it somehow jumps out and BAM! hits you right in the face…demanding to be seen! Loving the large print gold and white flower, but the center is just WOW!

I love the tomatoes on a stick and the green and blue puzzle piecy one. These are a great design!

I am working to get ready for a couple of craft shows, too, and whenever you do a post it inspires me to get back to work!!

That orange Amy Butler one is the bomb! Mostly because I love the color, but also because of the way it lines up when closed. These look GREAT!

Holy COW that’s a lot of comments!
I like the B&W ones with the bright insides (great contrast + surprise) and the coral (is that a chrysanthemum?) print as well.
    Have a great weekend!

I love all the ones made with the cheater Denyse Schmidt quilt top. There is no way I could choose just one of those, I’d have to have someone choose for me or better yet buy all three.

LOL. 122nd commenter. Hard to pick a favorite, toss-up between the peach and turquoise dandelion floral w/ turquoise inside (the placement of dandelion heads is fabulous); the orange and gray floral w/ small orange dots inside just love the combo and the flowers which remind me of poppies); and the turquoise & blue curvy fabric w/ hexagon turquoise insides. I love the black & white exterior fabric and the interior fabric w/ the pink & blue floral (looks like a stylized thistle to me).

I love the little blue kawaii print and wish I could see it better, haha, it looks ADORABLE!

And, I bet your snaps will hold up, I used almost identical ones for over a year until I bought my snap press and they were totally fine :)

Can’t wait to hear about your show!!!

My fave is the black and white (with the orange floral lining)….truly stunning and just sentimental combo for me. My 1st formal dress for my a high school formal was black satin on top with a black and white polka dot balloon skirt. I LOVED THAT DRESS! It’s the only dress other than my wedding dress that I held on to. Funny how certain colors, scents, and sounds can take you back in time.

Thanks for sharing your creations and your creativity with all of us! Your blog is my “happy place” on the web. Many blessings!

Good luck tomorrow! I’m sure you will do great at the show. I love the orange one that is in the top left in the first pic and bottom right in the second. I’m not usually an orange person, but I just love that print with the gray and white motif. Plus the inside dot fabric is fantastic.

I love the pink ones. I am really into pink these days so that’s probably why — but I also LOVE the fabric on the inside of them. I also am a fan of the black and white ones…good for you for getting them all ready for your show — best of luck and hope you sell lots of stuff! =)

I really love the Alexander Henry Mocha one. I love baby blue and red together and I’m a sucker for floral fabric.

By the way, I’ve been lurker at your blog for a while and just started ordering from your shop. I’m amazed at how quickly my fabric arrives!! Thank you!

In the last photo, the one next to the red ones, I’m guessing it’s Denyse Schmidt cheater print :) And it is lined with pink. That is my favourite…. But they are all so cute! How much will you sell these for?
    And………..good luck!

My favorite: The blue(stripe at the left)-red-black-white print and pink-white-black-yellow insdie. Blue and red are not my colors, but as you say, the random pattern it takes when closed is beautiful. You work unbelievably secure! How long did it take you to make all these?

They are all just beautiful! A favorite ‘one’–are you kidding me? I guess I would have to say the orange with the gray shapes that look a little like balloons or flowers. It is such a happy print with a gorgeous mate inside. Hope the craft fair is very successful for you!

I like the black and white in the lower left corner of the bottom picture. Im very fond of B&W but the splash of pink really makes it glow. Of course, there isn’t one that I DON’T like.

The one that jumps out for me is the orange w/the aqua raindrops with stems. Next is the white and gold w/tourquoise flower that shows when it’s closed. Gosh, I love them all. Good luck at the show. I’d be happen to win anyone of them.
