- PlanetJune is making me want to learn crochet. So many cute designs.
- I received a lovely note from Tricia Waddell, Editor for Stitch magazine. She shared the news that the next issue of Stitch will be available May 12, 2009, with tentative plans for more issues if the first two issues sell well on the newsstands. So, go buy this magazine, I really want to see more. Here’s my review of it.
- I’m going to be participating in a holiday craft fair called La Befana to be held November 21 & 22 at the Grange here on Bainbridge Island. More to come but save the date, lots of talented local artists will be participating.
- The Bloglines saga is over. Feeds are a comin’ through, yay! I did two things this afternoon (in case you’re in the same boat and wondering). 1) I sent my 5th very polite plea for assistance using the contact form available on the Bloglines website (cheaper than getting on a plane and visiting their headquarters in person) and 2) I deleted my old Yahoo account where I previously hosted my Pink Chalk Studio website and blog. I had transferred the domain name and re-directed the name to my new server at Host Gator but was keeping the Yahoo hosting account until I made sure I had all the files I wanted. I have absolutely no idea which of these two things did the trick.
- I met some very nice people during this slightly stressful episode. Des left me a comment recommending Vin The Blog Doctor. He even responded personally to my e-mail with things I should check for. He’s really smart and very nice. I wish he lived next door to me.
- I keep thinking how weird it is that I have a business that is heavily reliant on a free 3rd party service that has no published phone number, no blog, and no support forum.
- And last but not least: Caitlin took the photo of Simba on my sewing table. Several weeks ago she asked what I’d done with my old digital Rebel. We pulled it out of the box and she’s been clicking away. I’m slightly jealous of that natural eye she seems to have inherited from her Dad.

Beautiful photograph by Caitlin! Make no mistake, she inherited her artist’s eye from BOTH her parents.
my cat sits just like that when i am sewing and quilting. just watching the needle. i am waiting for her to stick her paw under there.
Can I just say how connected I feel with you at this moment, knowing we both have orange cats named Simba?
Meow – that is an awesome photo!
Cute Cat
Maybe at the show I can teach you some basic crochet, I’m definitely not an expert, I learned how to crochet the basics like granny squares!
great capture
She got it from you both! I’m going to tell my mom about your show – I grew up there in Poulsbo
My cat likes to sit on my sewing table too but not usually so out of the way – he prefers to sit on whatever I’m sewing.
a friend of mine just sent me a book with loads of these little crochet animals in – I will learn to crochet soon as it would be a crime not to – gorgeous cat

Hi Kathy,
Today a parcel arrived in the mail: it was the prize I won a few weeks ago, the Artgrlz witch! It is lovely and I want to thank you once again!
Have a very nice day!
