Happy Birthday, Sweet Thirteen! Teenagers can be hard, and they can be awesome–take it from me. I’ve got four, and when the youngest turned 13 their ages were 13, 16, 18 and 20! Life is gonna get verrrry interesting.

Happy birthday to your teen! That really amazed me when I suddenly had a teenager in my house. (could I really be getting that old??) Now I have 2 — a 16 yo and a 13 yo. Thankfully, the only thing really difficult about having 2 teens so far is my grocery bill. It’s scary!!
    (they are both boys)

Happy Birthday! My niece, who I feel was just born yesterday, turns 14 in August and starts high school next year! How is it possible that time goes so quickly?

It is crazy and fun to watch your kids blossom. I have enjoyed reading your blog. My daughter is 17-we’re now looking at colleges!! Exciting! and my son is 14. It is more fun than I thought it would be, although the pushing away they need to do is sometimes painful-prepare yourself for that, then it won’t be such a shock! Happy birthday!

Happy birthday! And remember, 13 is the age when kids begin to really really listen to their parents and do everything they say.

coming from a 21 year old, good luck. I’m sure it will all work out, just think at the end of the teenage years comes college, which I’m sure you’ll also enjoy, I know my mom is. I’m sure she was super excited about the tequila text message I just sent her. (it is cinco de mayo after all)

Teenage years are nothing if not fun! Enjoy!

And I’ve made wacky cake for my entire life. I do mix it in the pan and frost it in the pan. And my family has survived. LOL
