Virtual Quilting Bee - March
Mar 3rd, 2008 by Kathy

Yippeeee! March is my month for the Virtual Quilting Bee. New (the polka dots) and old were cut up and mailed off to each member of the group. I’ve requested a log cabin block or variation there of, ala Gee’s Bend and Nancy Crow. Can’t wait to see what these creative bees come up with!
* Leil’s puppet box provided just the right amount of sunlight. It also came complete with a family of bunnies enjoying our Spring like weather.

Ooooh, Kathy, this looks fun. I wish you could see the quilt exhibit going on here at the Henry Ford. It’s truly amazing. I’m excited for a log cabin. That was what I originally intended to do for the last one, but then changed course. I’ve never done one, but love them. I don’t think I ever thanked you for sending me the .pdf for the Rubblework Scarf after I lost my files. So, thanks.
I got my fabric this weekend- I ended up with the polka dot and the brown and green diamond shaped one on the bottom. I’m really excited to get started on this. Great choice of colors, too!

I’m not really color blind- I meant to say brown & blue… : )
Oooh! I can’t wait to get a hold of these!
I got the same one as Morgan….gorgeous! I am wondering if the one at the top is more green or yellow (or maybe chartreuse?). The Gee’s Bend quilts are at our museum now. I am going to go look at them for inspiration. Can’t wait!
Lovely, lovely, lovely! I can’t wait to see.
ah! yesterdays fabrics were treasures (oh, they were SO beautiful!), but you got even more lovely bits and pieces! the dotted one is lovely… I’m eager to see what will be made of them!
I’ve already started thinking about my plan. I love the fabrics you sent.
Oh BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Love the fabric! I’m in the midst of a huge Gee’s Bend quilting obsession right now so I’ll keep checking back to see what the wonderful women come up with for you! How exciting!
