Adrienne of Real Life: Live & Unscripted invited me to do one of her podcasts last month. Nothing more weird than listening to your own voice on tape! I love this gal and ALL the amazing things she creates. Very fun to chat with her on the phone live. You can listen to the interview here.
The power went out just after she called and my cordless phone somehow continued to work so we went forward with the interview. It was the first day of December, our first snow too, and I snapped this shot of the girls for our Christmas card.

ooooooh, they’re so beautiful.
Wow, look how grown up they look. Congrats on the podcast.
You’re totally famous! A book, a podcast and – I recognized you in a sewing expo brochure I picked up in a quilting store in Sisters, Oregon! The girls are beautiful!
Heidi, that gave me a great laugh! They noticed at my ASG meeting too. The Sew Expo also has the photo on their website. Leil was off school that day so she went along. She was so cute because she insisted on helping my friend and I carry all our loot!
You have beautiful girls! And the picture turned out so great!
I enjoyed listening to your podcast! Congrats!
Thanks so much for doing the podcast! It was so much fun and I LOVE that picture!!!
OH my gosh Kathy this is huge and you weren’t sure what was going to happen with your blog. Well I hope when you are famous you will talk to us at target ;-P xoxoxoxo Clarice
The girls are so cute. Gosh. Kids grow so fast, even in blogland!
I’ll hop on over and listen to the podcast. Two of my favorite craft bloggers! Yay!
Great photo!
Great picture and great interview! You sound just as you do in your writing – so positive and supportive and upbeat… wonderful qualities! Like you, I started sewing with needle & thread when I was a few years old… my mother and grandmother are the sewers in my family. I was amazed that you have only been quilting for 3 years. I’ve been quilting for 20 and your work is so beautiful.
I really enjoyed listening to the podcast. Congrats!
Those are the cutest girls! I loved the podcast.
I love this photo! It is so candid and fun. I was out doing a photo shoot in the snow in Seattle that same day I think!

I just listened to your podcast. You are AWESOME! You sound just like I expected you would–enthusiastic, knowledgeable, fun. BTW, we have a store-bought quilt on our bed for the same reason, hee hee. Love the picture of your beautiful girls!
What a beautiful photo of your beautiful girls! Congratulations on the podcast!
Gorgeous girls.
How do you pronounce Leil’s name? “Leel”? “Layl”?
Kathy, I listened to the podcast today on my brand-new-my-kids-bought-me iPod! I felt so clever getting you on there. I felt so inspired listening to you!
What a wonderful photo! So natural, which to me is the hallmark of a great holiday shot. (Cute kids and gently falling snow don’t hurt, either. lol)
Georgia: It’s pronounced “Layl”, rhymes with veil.
Congrats on the phone podcast. Adrienne is the best isn’t she. It’s always fun to put the voice with the blog pictures.
Just one more to add to the list of your growing admirererers!
The girls are great too! Bet they could hardly wait til the snow stuck on the ground! They are lovely! Bet your a proud mama! You may want to keep a baseball bat beside the front door…. won’t be long and the boys will be trotting that direction! Good luck!
Mom of 4….. 3 girls! All married now though! Phewwwww!
Oh, Kathy, you just have the cutest kids ever! Haven’t checked out the webcast, but I will next!
