Mr. & Mrs. Gnome, Check
Dec 16th, 2007 by Kathy

OK, Mr. & Mrs. Gnome just put the cute meter through the chimney. Hillary never ceases to amaze me with her ability to translate her eye for design into such easy and fun to make patterns. Available in her store here. I am absolutely in LOVE with these two! Oh yeah, so are the kids.
The wool felt colors I had on hand left me underwhelmed so I opted to use quilting cottons for the clothing and boots. I used a satin stitch to join them. If I was to make this pattern again I would first attach the cotton to the guide using a layer of Heat n Bond Lite. I was concerned about the bulk it might create but after finishing I don’t think it would be an issue. As the pattern recommends, I cut the other parts from wool felt. Much easier to join.
