Etsy Shop Open for Business
Dec 6th, 2007 by Kathy

Last Saturday I felt relaxed, the tree was up, I had grand plans for all the sewing I would accomplish this week. Today? Slightly heavy breathing, some lists completed, new lists made, the clock hands spinning around, fear of what I’ve forgotten. In a matter of 5 days I’ve gone from completely having a handle on Christmas to feeling like I’m headed for a full-blown panic attack.
Opening my Etsy shop (finally!) was probably not the wisest addition to my activities this week. I had a glorious vision of the mountains of beautiful stock it would boast. Today I’m going with a small, intimate, high-quality, limited-edition pencil roll type of opening.
The wonderful folks on my mailing list got a sneak peak over the weekend. If you’d like to be notified of new pattern releases and additions to the shop please sign up on my side bar.
I think an eggnog with a splash of Maker’s Mark might be in order this evening.

Congratulations on the Etsy shop! And please remember, Christmas is not meant to be a season of worry and scrambling to complete to-do’s. Take a deep breath, and enjoy the season (and the eggnog!).
OH CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on the Etsy Shop!
Best of luck with your new venture. Your shop looks great
Can’t wait to be the proud owner of a pencil roll! Your work is so lovely.
Congrats again! And, oh yes, spiked eggnog is one of the pleasures of the season
Well done! I love your patterns and your way of putting things together! I am going to scoot over now and see what’s left!
Good Luck and Congrats!
Congratulations! I have yet to post anything in mine, but I hope to in the coming year. The train pencil roll is so cute.
Yay for you! And welcome to “People on the Precipice” Anonymous. May I join you for the Maker’s Mark? (but skip the eggnog thanks)
congrats on the etsy business. The pencil cases look wonderful!!
Congratulations on your Etsy shop! Everything looks so enticing and colorful. Did you make or purchase your “Pink Chalk Studio” labels? I think the time has come for me to label my creations but don’t want the generic “Hand crafted by Mom” labels from the craft store, any suggestions?
Congratulations Kathy!! The pencil rolles look great!
Kathy,
The etsy shop looks great. I am going to have to keep my eye on those pencil rolls, I have wanted one for a while. Congratulations.
Congratulations - looks like you did great on your first day! Hope you enjoyed your spiked eggnog:-)
congratulations!
seems your shop will run very well - and you deserve it! ^-^
I received my pencil roll in the mail yesterday. It is really pretty! Thanks Kathy!
How am I not on your mailing list I wonder? Obvious oversight on my part, I guess. Congrats on the etsy shop!
Wow! Congratulations! Now we’re etsy companions! My shop will be one month tomorrow!

Soooo cute! I love how you’ve matched the pencils with the fabric.
You’re going to have a thriving Etsy shop, and a great Christmas! Enjoy the season. I always have to remind myself, it’s supposed to be fun! LOL!
I’m so go-cited.
Congratulations on selling out so fast! Those pencil rolls are so beautiful! And I really admired the label that you put on the thank-you-pincushion you sent me (so sweet of you!). I like the look of ink on linen rather than woven polyester, but that’s just me…
so bummed I missed out on all the pencil rolls, they are gorgeous. I was going to make one for Emma, but will probably not have time. I’m going to try to do it, I think she would adore one of these.
