Sample of Anna Banana that I made for Esther’s Fabrics. I totally fell in love with these fancy new Moda fabrics, a mix of American Jane and Urban Chicks. I was in a hurry and quilted the runner using the design I recommend for the place mats in the pattern. I linked the photo to a big version, click on it if you want to see the detail of the stitching. I really like how it turned out and boy was it fast. I did a machine binding. I took lots of pics, tutorial coming soon, really!
Esther’s moved into new digs down the street. Today and tomorrow is a Grand Re-Opening celebration. FABULOUS is the only word I can think of to describe the new location. I’ll be teaching the small Note Taker on Friday, November 9 in their new spacious classroom.

It’s lovely! As soon as I can get the threads sewn away on mine, I’ll post photos.
This is beautiful! Can’t wait for the tutorial:-) As soon as I saw it I thought it would be fun to make a Christmas one!! I love the Urban Chicks birds and nest material too. I have the exact same one and am sort of hoarding it. I should probably just buy some more.
OK just saw you have the pattern for sale – am ordering it now! Thanks!
Love the bright fun fabrics you’ve been using on these!
This is just BEAUTIFUL!!!!
I love this creation. I think the colors are beautiful and that the prints go so well together for the spectacular effect you achieved.

I love the new patterns. You are super clever! I was just wondering as a suggestion, would you ever consider selling the pattern with fabric to make the project as a bundle? You are so great at matching the fabrics it might be another way to sell it. Well done!!!
I just ordered the pattern- I HAVE to make this. So beautiful!! I love your knack for color and composition.
Dear Kathy,
I just received my pattern in the mail yesterday. Thank you so much for sending it on to me so promptly. I can’t wait for the weekend to begin sewing. I am going to make one for my daughter for Christmas.
Blessings,
