A baby Note Taker that is. I was surprised to learn that Notelet is a real word. Pretty cool. I’m not adverse to making up words but it’s always nice when you want something like piglet and there’s actually a word just like it waiting for you.

One of my testers, Candy Glendering, created a smaller version of the Note Taker for a 5″ x 8″ notepad. It was so darn cute, it was love at first sight. I knew I needed to work up the design and add it to the pattern. Thank you Candy.

Now, for business talk. I’ve e-mailed everyone that ordered the pattern directly from me. Paypal actually made something easy for once. I was able to download all the orders into a spreadsheet, highlight the e-mail address column and create a mailing list with a single copy and paste. Some days I LOVE technology. All of you guys now have a PDF file with the updated instructions waiting for you in your inbox.
If you purchased the pattern at a retail shop please contact me, let me know which shop you purchased from, and I will send you the bonus design at no charge.
All patterns shipped starting today will include the bonus design.
I’m excited to get this out in time for gift making. Goodness, there are only 92 days till Christmas!

A. Thank you so much for sending out that PDF, it’s so above and beyond and is the type of thing that makes me so giddy about buying handmade (and original patterns) and dealing with the creator. Just so generous.
B. You have the best taste in fabric ever. I don’t even like radishes (I hope those are radishes), but now I want a notebook covered in them.
C. I think I just delurked. Eek!!!
I love that I’ll be able to carry this around in my purse! I’m so excited to try this. Thanks for the bonus!
I love that.
But when you start talking Christmas imagine me with my fingers in my ears going lalala lalala I can’t hear you.
Because I am just that mature.
You must have read my mind because I kept looking at that note taker thinking, “Hmmmm….. I really like it, but I never use the large legal pads, I wish she’d do a version in the smaller size.”
Very, very cute! I love that size!
Ooh, I LOVE all the fabrics - each one is perfect where it is! AND, I love the size of your trapper pocket and card pocket, much better proportions than what I did! Pretty Pretty Pretty!
Yay! I have a whole stack of 5×8 notepads! I need this now
Oh that’s excellent, Kathy! The smaller size would be more useful for me than a large one. And it would totally make such lovely gifts! Thanks!!
Nicole Bee: The fabric on the exterior is Superbuzzy. It’s a really lightweight Japanese linen. I just love the scale on the Notelet.
Thanks again Kathy, its looks great with the adjustments! 92 days..??? I’m off to get some things started!
Can’t wait to get mine. I should have ordered the pattern a long time ago! Is it really only 91 days left?!
I got your pdf and IMMEDIATELY thought of christmas!
Lovely fabric you chose… the little raddishes are too cute, and I LOVE the color scheme of the natural & green! ^-^
THANK YOU for the notelet update — I can’t wait to get going on one!
But did you really have to put in that bit about how many DAYS until xmas?! ; 0
Thanks so much Kathy - (and Candy) that’s a wonderful idea. Oh, just right for tucking in the tote bag. And turnip fabric? Shut. Up. So cute. Gotta go sew.
Oh, oh, oh! I’m making these for Christmas, for sure!
That’s such a great idea! I can’t wait for the update!
I can’t wait to try it!
Oh my - only 92? Yikes! I started a Flickr group for inspiration for a DIY Holiday season at : http://www.flickr.com/groups/471252@N25/
But I warn you, the inspiration is so good it might get ya’ twitchy!
Every time I see your amazing projects I wish I wasn’t born with ten thumbs! LOL… My sewing skills are so elementary. When I grow up I want to be able to create lovely hand made gifts like you do! LOL… Until then I’ll stick to my pillows and simple totes!
Another sweet project!
Tiffany
Oh it is so cute! Love it:)
I love the smaller version. Can’t wait to make both of them.
You’ve been tagged on my blog
You don’t have to play if you don’t want to, I won’t be offended.
oh - that is so perfect! and notelet is the perfect descriptor! we’d love to see this added to the flickr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/superbuzzy/pool/)!
Love the notelet, and the fabric is TDF.
The notetaker is so cute I had to order the pattern. I hope my skills are up the task! I’d love to make some for Christmas. About how long does one take to make?
