Note Taker for Quiltworks NW

Here’s my latest Note Taker, a shop sample for Quiltworks NW. They’re now carrying the Note Taker pattern! Yippee.

I visited the shop several weeks ago to talk with the pattern buyer and deliver a sample pattern. I ended up leaving the store with a purchase order for my largest order yet and a bag full of absolutely beautiful fabrics to make a sample for their shop. The Japanese linen on the exterior was a fresh bolt from a recent shipment. I watched as they opened boxes, pulled out fabric bolts, and let me choose what I liked best. Um, yes, EXTREMELY fun experience as I tried to act calm and professional. The staff there are incredibly friendly and so enthusiastic about what they do.

Fun cottons for the inside. The red fabric on the right is from Lonni Rossi‘s new line called Graceful Geisha. Quiltworks NW has the full set of colorways. It’s gorgeous on the bolt but the beauty of the pattern and color combinations really popped once I started piecing it together.

I’m going to be doing some maintenance on my WordPress theme. I did something wacky and I’ve decided rolling back to the original and then applying my customizations step by step is the only way to fix the problem. Maybe this time I’ll skip having a glass of wine while doing the work.

That linen on the outside is amazing! Oh how I wish I had an awesome fabric shop like that around here–but on second thought, it’s probably better for my wallet that I don’t :)

Gorgeous fabrics, great product! I posted my tote photos to your “Friends” Flickr group today – my friend Leila loved it, and I want to make one for me next! I love to use old jeans for projects…

So happy for you. Awhile back I started to order the note taker pattern but my paypal account is having issues for some reason. I tried making one on my own. It’s working ok, but I’m sure yours is much better.

So glad to see you found a store that wants to share your beautiful talent with others!!

I’m wanting to look at blogs containing music I like, but sifting through all the detached, outdated and crap blogs is a hassle. . I know there are thousands of blogs, is there a good resource to seek out the preferred ones?.
