Here’s my latest Note Taker, a shop sample for Quiltworks NW. They’re now carrying the Note Taker pattern! Yippee.

I visited the shop several weeks ago to talk with the pattern buyer and deliver a sample pattern. I ended up leaving the store with a purchase order for my largest order yet and a bag full of absolutely beautiful fabrics to make a sample for their shop. The Japanese linen on the exterior was a fresh bolt from a recent shipment. I watched as they opened boxes, pulled out fabric bolts, and let me choose what I liked best. Um, yes, EXTREMELY fun experience as I tried to act calm and professional. The staff there are incredibly friendly and so enthusiastic about what they do.

Fun cottons for the inside. The red fabric on the right is from Lonni Rossi‘s new line called Graceful Geisha. Quiltworks NW has the full set of colorways. It’s gorgeous on the bolt but the beauty of the pattern and color combinations really popped once I started piecing it together.

I’m going to be doing some maintenance on my WordPress theme. I did something wacky and I’ve decided rolling back to the original and then applying my customizations step by step is the only way to fix the problem. Maybe this time I’ll skip having a glass of wine while doing the work.

Great fabrics! And congratulations on the big order!! I love the Mahjongg fabric here on the inner left. And that center strip. Wow!
That’s it, pink chalk!!! No fair coming to Bellevue without calling me first! Congrats on getting them to carry your pattern. I’ll have to head over there this week and take a look!
That linen on the outside is amazing! Oh how I wish I had an awesome fabric shop like that around here–but on second thought, it’s probably better for my wallet that I don’t
It’s all lovely, but I MUST find the Mahjongg fabric!!
Congrats on the order Kathy! Your pattern is really taking off now.
Congratulations Kathy! I think you will sell a bunch of patterns at Quiltworks. All the bored Eastside housewives shop there. (Me too, hee hee)
Congrats!!!!!! I’m excited for yoU!!
This is lovely! I have a similar pattern that is for a paperback book, but I love this idea, and may even try it
they seem to be enthusiastic about what they do?

Absolutely gorgeous fabrics and a beautiful sample!
Ooo I didn’t know about that store. Looks like fun! Congrats!
That is so awesome, Kathy. Not just the sample, but the fact that you received a large order. You deserve it, and now, what’s your next pattern project going to be?!
Gorgeous fabrics, great product! I posted my tote photos to your “Friends” Flickr group today – my friend Leila loved it, and I want to make one for me next! I love to use old jeans for projects…

So happy for you. Awhile back I started to order the note taker pattern but my paypal account is having issues for some reason. I tried making one on my own. It’s working ok, but I’m sure yours is much better.
So glad to see you found a store that wants to share your beautiful talent with others!!
The combination of fabrics is just wonderful. You really have a gift for that.
Congratulations! How fun to get to pick out fabrics for the shop sample! I am not sure I would have been able to contain myself. Great job!
I have got to get my hands on the mahjong fabric. so nice to see cool asian inspired fabric. enjoying your blog, and still waiting to make those water bottle totes.
Congratulations – you must be quite chuffed! You certainly deserve the success!
Very pretty! Congratulations on your order!!

Wow, must have been so exciting to watch them pull out that fabric!!!! I generally don’t go to Bellevue, but might have to make a trip. Glad I stumbled upon your blog, and hope to make it to the new Ester’s soon.
That’s so cute and handy!
I’m wanting to look at blogs containing music I like, but sifting through all the detached, outdated and crap blogs is a hassle. . I know there are thousands of blogs, is there a good resource to seek out the preferred ones?.
Hello. I absolutely want to actually place a good swift remark and let you grasp that in fact I’ve been reading your blog page for quite some time. Keep up the very super task and I will be checking back once again once again.
thank you for all your efforts that you have put in this. Very interesting info. “If you can’t accept losing, you can’t win.” by Vince Lombardi.
