My kids have a serious case of short-timer-student-itis. We don’t get out until June 22 but it hasn’t stopped them from acting like they’re out of school. Not doing homework, playing outside until called for dinner and staying up way past regular bedtime.

I have it too. Can’t we just end school now and get on with summer?
Cotton Spice is celebrating their one year anniversary with a round up of free patterns. High quality patterns. Not that free stuff you get to from an obnoxiously blinking pushbutton. This is good free stuff. My Water Bottle Carrier tutorial is in there too.
A peek at what I was doing while the girls played:

Let me guess….pattern cover page? What we will do for a GREAT PICTURE!
I want that water bottle holder! What do you mean “watch your kids…”?
Ooh, I can’t wait for the note taker pattern cover. It wasn’t windy, was it? That can really mess up the outdoor studio.
So cute! I’m glad Judy tipped me off about what you were doing in the second picture. I can be a little dense…
Thanks for the link to Cotton Spice, I haven’t seen it before. The water bottle holder is so sweet, and lovely fabric combos as always!
Where I live school has already been out for over a week!
Free patterns! Thanks for the link!!
We play modified hopscotch which means we draw the squares with chalk and then just hop all over it. It’s just as much fun when you’re four.
It took me a while to figure out picture #2. Aerial view patern cover picts? Very cool. When I was doing the patchfolio picts I didn’t like the way the note pad was blank. I considered writing “Buy me” on there, or something cute, but them opted to just cover it up with another patchfolio. I’m a horrible photographer who’s very thankful for photoshop!
ah school daze. this time of year is the roughtest! i don’t wish my life away, but summer can’t come quick enough! happy hopscotch!
my daughter has so checked out already. she scrawls away at her homework but she’s done. And yes, thanks to those “snow days” she’s in until the 22nd.
Thanks so much for the links, although with summer vacation looming my sewing time will be relegated to late in the evening.
It’s been awhile since I have commented!! You are on my Bloglines and I read you everyday!! Its been busy around here!! No excuses but wanted to drop in and say Hello!!
