Leil and I spent Saturday and Sunday at Camp Lyle McLeod. It was my first visit to this Girl Scout property, what a jewel. This is a picture of the girls getting their safety talk before hitting the lake. It was a chilly night but no rain, thank goodness! This was Leil’s first camping adventure, is that embarrassing or what? Greg and I did all sorts of camping and hiking before the girls came along. We’ve renewed our pledge to do more of it.
A few links to keep you all busy this week while I finish my pattern (really, it’s almost done):
- Seattle Times article from the Sunday paper on cyber crafters. There’s an awesome list of online sites where people are selling their wares.
- The most unbelievable baby blankets EVER by my knitting idol Daphne.
- Candy Glendening’s fabulous hand dyed fabrics and quilt art.
- Anina’s Note Taker Folio!

thanks for the link to the seattle times article…. was fun to read.
Did you know they are now selling graham crackers that are perfect sized for ‘smores (no breaking involved)? The girls look so cute and attentive.
Gee, thanks for including that link Kathy!
I’m so glad that your daughter is getting to enjoy scouts. I loved being a girl scout and had tons of camp outs and loads of fun doing it. The camps are so neat, sleeping in the tents, making dinners, lanyards, sit-upons, and all sorts of things. Beats sitting in front of a video game.
i love the names on camp boats. camp is upcoming here too… we can’t wait! lovely bookmarks and story too kathy above. ilovea good teacher. they are so important and so overlooked so often.
Heya, I meant to say thank you (times a million) for your super nice comments on the blankets! Eventually, I’ll be able to post pattern info on them.
OMG! I went to this camp! I was in Wagon’s West!!
