Daylight savings time has our house going to bed before we’re tired. What to do when you can’t fall asleep? Knit in bed. It was my first time. Surprising me the most was how much I liked it. Not tonight honey, I’ve got my knit on. A slippery slope indeed.

HATE daylight savings. LOVE your scarf. So pretty!
(Living alone means never having to apologize for knitting in bed.)
The portability of knitting is one of its primary features–if an addiction can be said to have features. It often stops me from sewing because sewing has so much prep involved and, more importantly, requires clean, flat spaces. I’m working on that, oh how I’m working on that!
Pretty! I love how the two yarns combine to give the scarf some lovely veins of purple running through the many blues.
Ha! Thanks for the laugh first thing in the morning.
I LOVE the scarf too. So much so that I may just have to break my “I only knit rctangles” rule. My sis has the pattern and I SOOOOO want to go buy some Noro yarn. A slippery slope indeed.
Pretty, pretty. And that was a good chuckle.
Ha! I might have to try that sometime.
hee hee. nice one! that’s looking gorgeous already.
Too funny!
He he he! You’re too funny!
Beautiful scarf!
ROFL. At least it’s a better excuse than “Not tonight dear, I have a headache.” I, too, have used the knit-in-bed-because-I-am-not-quite-tired-enough-to-go-to-sleep-yet.
Your scarf is coming along beautifully. Love the colors you chose for it.
Found you through Lisa… I love this scarf! Can you tell me what pattern it is? Lovely blog. You are a BUSY woman!
What colored yarn did you use. It’s lovely.
Patricia: I used Koigu KPPPM yarns, p449 and p113.
Hi, I have some Noro Sakura yarn and would love to make a chevron scarf like yours. It is beautiful. Could you please tell me where you found the pattern? Sakura is a DK weight. Do you think the pattern could be adapted for a DK weight yarn?
Thanks,
Pat
To answer Pat: this pattern is from the book Last Minute Knitted Gifts by Joelle Hoverson. There’s a Flickr group devoted to the scarf that’s lots of fun:
