    Silica sand is also a great stuffing for pincushions. It sharpens and cleans pins. I purchased some in a local quilt store. I can’t find a good online store. However I’m sure you can find in locally. Sometimes it is in the plant section of various stores. I think it can be used in the bottom of pots and it can used to dry flowers.
