I finished this up last week. Just in time for the big snow. Leil loves it. I love it. Following the lead of some of my knitting inspiration (Ashley, Claudine, Daphne & Siow Chin), I think I’m supposed to share this:
Pattern: “Soft Kid” Ruffled Scarf, Designed by Kit Hutchin for ‘Knit for Her Cure’, Churchmouse Yarns & Teas Shop Pattern
Yarn: Kimono Angora Pure, Luisa Harding Yarns, Color #2
Needles: Clover #8, Clover 24″ Circs #8 for the Ruffle
Mods: Pattern called for #9 needles using GGH Soft Kid, I used #8 with different yarn
This project was simple while still providing some new and fun techniques. The provisional cast on with a crochet chain and the M1 increases for the ruffle. My knit AND purl got much smoother and easier with all the practice.

I’m flattered–especially since you are absolutely a quilting inspiration for me! The scarf looks great on Leil; it’s the perfect amount of fluffy girliness!
No wonder Leil loves it, the pink scarf is really pretty and so is she! And thanks for the mention!
Soon you’ll be knitting with your eyes closed.
It looks terrific — you are totally a knitter!!
I like. :0)
I agree with Leil! Wonderful, pretty scarf!! I do love how the fancy ruffle edges each end, just the perfect thing for a nice girl when she’s feeling particularly girly!
It looks wonderfully soft and fluffy. Think she’ll let you borrow it?
Great job! I really like the simple ruffles at the ends … nice touch!
Well, you have already surpassed my knitting skills since half of your knitting specs didn’t make any sense to me at all!
) It’s beautiful. So when are you going to make a sweater?
beautiful scarf, beautiful daughter! lovely!
Oh Leil and the scarf look BEAUTIFUL!!
The scarf is beautiful–and so is the little girl!
I am really itching to knit. I have to wait till January though.
Oh! I’m so flattered and pleased to be noted as an inspiration.
Wonderfully executed scarf. I’m very excited that we have Soft Kid at Hilltop again and now think I should knit lots and lots of items with it.
