Beautiful table runner! I also have the sugar skulls fabric…in black, red and pink-yes, I love me some sugar skulls! lol! I also have the blue dancing skeltons one, only it’s in red. I need to make a table runner for next year!

Your craftsmanship is amazing! I would love to know how the binding is done, Iv’e tried an assortment of ways and havent been happy with the results! I have 3 tablerunners that are sitting here & waiting for me to get my act together…..LOL

In response to questions about the fabric:

There are several manufacturers with lines of Day of the Dead fabric this year. I fell in love with this traditional Mexican celebration while living in New Mexico. The influence on New Mexican artists was always a feast for the eyes. The icons and motifs can seem a little stirring at first but when taken in context of the religious and historical context are quite moving.

I purchased most of these fabrics on EQuilter. The two lines they still carry are ‘Celebracion’ by Andover Fabrics and ‘Folkloric’ by Alexander Henry. The Andover Fabrics were licensed from the Museum of International Folk Art – Museum of New Mexico. What an incredible place. A must see if you visit Santa Fe.
