Two favorite discoveries this month. Fresh figs wrapped in Point Reyes Blue Cheese and prosciutto ham, broil three minutes, eat warm. Follow with a cold glass of Lucien Albrecht Cremant d’Alsace Brut Rose Champagne. Yum.

Oh that’s what I thought. I’ll bring a bottle, you do that broiling thing….”broiling” is not a word we use where I live. Thanks for the links to the Quiltfest pix. I had a great time checking them out.
Well. I’d say!
We “discovered” Alsatian wines last year on our trip and have been taken with them ever since. I’m still waiting to be convinced on the fig thing though.
I’ve never eaten a real fig..unless you count fig newtons…love those! But they look good enough to try one!
our figs on our backyard tree just are ripening- mmmmmmm- one of the best tastes in the world- fresh picked off the tree! also GREAT in a cheese/tortilla quesadilla- mmmmm
