Beautiful photos. My mouth is watering. My daughter makes jam with her grandmother and she draws her own labels. Funnily enough, I was only just looking at all the jars of jam we have sitting in the pantry and thought I really need to take a photo of her gorgeous labels. Then I come here and see your strawberry jam!
I love your picture essay – Christopher Kimball of Cooks Country wrote in the latest issue that he feared home canning was becoming extinct – doesn’t look like it – I, myself, am in the middle of making 90 jars of preserves (cherry kirsch & peach amaretto) as favors for the guests at my daughter’s upcoming wedding – this is a very satisfying activity – putting something from the summer up for the darker months
hello~! i’ve never made jam before but planning to for holiday gifts. do you know what the approximate shelf life of the unopened and opened cans are? and should they be refridgerated unopened? thank you!

i do love jam. i’m wondering though, why you have them resting upside down? is that just something you like to do or is their a certain reason?
